I would not say 400 upvotes means something is a popular opinion. I hang out in that sub more days of the week than not and I’ve never had that post recommended to me. That subreddit is actually VERY divided between people that love Peggy like me and people that hate her. 400 upvotes is a pretty low amount by that subs standards.
If you wanted to get artsy, dale where shades a majority of the time because he doesn't want too look into people eyes given how often they lie by omission. (idea falls flat since he wore that type before the marriage), but he rarely seen without it for a reason. But you can blame Dales high degree of interest in conspiracy theories because hes in one. There has to be another reason why his best friends wouldn't tell him. Of course silver lining, maybe Dale is sterile, so that could be a reason of making lemonade out of the situation.

Leanne is, I suspect, still a selfish person with narcissistic tendencies even without the alcohol. In addition, it was a choice to start drinking again because she KNEW alcohol caused her to be violent, and she didn't change even after prison time for her previous actions that should've been a wake-up call. I see where you're coming from and agree. Hank's near constant causal sexism and emotional constipation have been the aspects of him I find the most frustrating. He is 100% in the wrong here for putting Peggy in that position and headspace. As much as I do think Peggy is a horrible human being, she does deserve affection and to feel wanted and needed, and given affection in her marriage. However, while that makes Peggy's actions and downward spiral understandable, it doesn't excuse it. Nor does it not make her look unhinged. This episode definitely makes Peggy look bad, but in all honesty it makes her and Hank both look like a pair of jackasses. No, if there is an episode I say that shows why Peggy is a deplorable human being it is definitely not this one. It's the one where she deliberately and maliciously sabotages Lucky's education and attempt to get a G.E.D. For me, that just makes her a terrible human being, and it's just inexcusable. This one while making Peggy look deranged due to how it is written I would say is less a "Peggy is a narcissist" episode and more of a "Peggy and Hank need fucking marriage counseling cause this relationship is not healthy" episode.

About the whole guardian of Bobby conversations with Bill... Well I agree with almost all of your takes but this one, not at all. Adults, particularly adults who are raising kids, need to do what's best for those kids, even when it's difficult or painful. Abuse, including emotional abuse, psychological abuse, and so on, is inexcusable. Peggy is awful toward Bobby. When she's not coddling him and infantilizing him, she's deliberately triggering his traumas or encouraging him to do the wrong thing (or things which won't serve him well). Hank is emotionally constipated, but rarely, if ever, deliberately hurts Bobby's feelings or leads him to do things which will harm him. Both parents need serious psych help, but Peggy is far worse.

Feel free to call Peggy out for her bad behavior, but pretending she's the only "abusive" parent and that Hank "rarely, if ever" does bad things to Bobby is hilariously false.
People read Peggy at surface level too easily. Yes, she is a prideful, petty, and vindictive woman. She also has a massive inferiority complex and is deeply insecure. Bobby excelling at and getting praise from Hank for things Peggy normally does but knows she isn’t great at was gonna throw her off the deep end faster than she could blink just from the feeling she wasn’t needed.
This Video is one of the Prime Examples why I do not Intend to get Married, nor should I Think anyone/everyone should be getting Married and I Think it should be Abolished outright because of its Inherently Coercive Patriarchal-Capitalist-Statist Nature when it comes to Social Reproduction of Capital, Labour and State Violence/Monopoly on Control as well as Perpetuating all Forms of Domination, Hierarchy and Control.
