@pheunithpsychic-watertype9881 I haven't watched his videos in while because this is a new account. Can you send his user so I can sub? But him and squirrel tactics too!
Collabs we need: Kitty Monk ✅️ Squirrel Tactics Shady Doorags Mr. 2Death, I think you know what must be done Also, I really appreciate how Kitty Monk brought up how oddly creepy the narration during the credits was. Sorta spooked me as a kid. It was a weird thing that wasn't intended to be creepy but almost shamefully scared me a lot as a kid for no good reason. Still to this day, I skip it cause of good ol residual childhood PTSD
Johnny Hardwick left some kind words on my Hank Hill and Dale Gribble impressions video around a decade ago and it blew my mind. King of the Hill is probably my favorite show of all time, so it really means a lot to me to feel like i have something of a small personal connection with Mr. Hardwick, even if it's only 8 short words. rest in peace
I know I keep harping on, but thank you for letting me be on your channel, watching your videos makes washing dishes super fun! And thank you once again for allowing me to curse to my heart's content! If you ever wanna collaborate again, either on your channel or my channel or both, you're always welcome! Happy New Years, Bone Man!
Cotton didn't want Didi to work because he's from a generation where it was extremely emasculating to not be able to provide for your family and the woman working would imply that that was the case. Also that would mean Cotton would be at home with GH all day and while he loves him, he doesn't want to be saddled with the woman's role of changing him and cooking the meals.
That still makes him a bad husband and father, but they do it in a pretty interesting way. Like what he is doing is awful, basically "hey GH, I would rather put my own pride before you or your mother's, or even my own wellbeing. Since I would rather you both suffer and struggle alone and fatherless, I'm going head out because it's not right for a man to feed or clothe the life he helped create while his wife makes money, thats crazy talk." like in his attempt to fit "a man's role" in the home, he actually completely failed at being a man. Idk how Hank came from that man😂
@@heehoopeanut420 What do you mean so? I wasn't justifying that line of reasoning, I was providing an explanation. And yes, his pride would definitely supersede his family at times. He'll swallow his dignity if he has a job, but he won't to let his wife be the breadwinner.
Dale's worship of Cotton is much simpler than you might think. Cotton did what Dale has never managed to do: kill human beings. That is the basis for Dale's admiration.
History will be kind to Jimmy Carter both as a humanitarian and a president. We weren't ready for him. He's an alien time traveler. His wife lived to 96. 2/3 of dudes die before their wives. And she made it to 96. Clean living and conviction toward love and service may have positive effects.
I don't know if what I'm going to say is controversial, but I honestly think they should get a new actor to take over for Dale. Dale is a huge and important part of King of the Hill and to kill him off will leave a huge hole in the entire show. And not just get anyone who sound like Johnny's Dale, but an actor that can carry on the spirit of the character and respect the legacy of the character as well. I know it's easier said then done, but there are many times where other productions have been able to find actors who are able to do this. Examples include Eric Jacobson taking over all of Frank Oz's characters (except Cookie Monster) in both The Muppets and Sesame Street, Steve Whitmire and Bill Barretta with most of Jim Henson's characters in The Muppets, Joe Alaskey with Sylvester the Cat, Bob Bergen with Porky Pig, Eric Bauza with Daffy, Bob Zmuda with Tony Clifton, and both Kōichi Yamadera and Doug Erholtz with Inspector Zenigata.
Heads up, I was born here but parents were born in Mexico, both agree we should not return the leg. They really dislike Santa Ana. The think he is a coward and a traitor.
It's strange how Hank and dee Dee are friends when they were younger yet he doesn't really try to reach out to the ladies of the family when cotton passes. He only meets her so we can get closure on how she ended up with a new guy and gh while we closed up on cottons life and past. Cotton loves gh so you could have probably added to the whole wanting Dee Dee to stay home thing to give gh his own brand of showing he has a good dad wanting to support his family if he can find the work. But the leg for a license thing will always be funny to me
Hank and Didi don't really hang out or talk or anything. I think he barely knew her in the first place and was pretty much just a brief acquaintance until she married Cotton.
Small brain: Replace Johnny Hardwick with an ai replica Big brain: have Dale need one of those speech synthesizers that heavy smokers need, kinda like Ned from South Park
I've thought of a way to keep dale is giving him a voice box that smokers use without using an ai voice or a replacement i could see the comedy from that.
13:34 These tertiary characters having other family members that never interact in the show, really makes KotH feel more alive. One of the rodeo clown characters in the season 4 episode "Rodeo Days" mentions having a possible bastard child and much later in season 10 episode 5, Bobby studies under a "clowning" professor with the same name, Twilley.
My favorite part of Picard is cementing the travelers as the island of misfit teens. They literally just show up to collect angsty kids that didn't sell to the youth demographic.
Maybe Hank was sad going down the hall because he was manipulating Deedee back in after she was out to make things "easier" for himself? I always got that vibe.....
As an Illinois native, native in the sense that I was born and raised here, not Native as in First Nations, I am truly saddened to hear such slander of my fair home state from two people whom I admire and adore so much.
"Cannabinoids" is weed. Marijuana. Cannabis. You don't die in the bathtub from smoking weed. "Drugs were found" means the guy had weed around like absolutely every other writer in Hollywood.
I think it's funny that Cotton knows Dale from growing up with Hank, subconsciously he rather spend time with His sons childhood friend rather than his son
Since dale’s a smoker, they can say he died of cancer or some other smoking related disease. But also, I heard that the revival is gonna be like later, when Bobby is an adult, so the gang is gonna be like 60 or something. So they could replace Johnny Hardwick with someone who’s able to do like an older version of dale’s voice. Maybe with like a more smokers type voice.
13:55 *double take* 😮 I forgot the Hantavirus detail, that's super dark. She talks about it like it's small beans... but in the mid-late 90's the health authorities had no idea what it was or how it spread and people in the southwest were terrified. Compare it to saying your teacher is out sick with a super bug (bacteria resistant to all known antibiotics) and shrugging and saying "meh, she'll probably be fine."
I'm watching the chiefs game but i have your bell on so ima let it play on my phone during the game and then come back and cast it to the TV and watch it properly. Ill just play it now to give it an extra view one for you and one for Kitty 😂 im subbed to both (you at 600 and kitty at 2500) so I've been here from the start for both of you so its cool to see yall team up and work together and show support to one another! Im starting my channel this year and hopefully ill join the club one day All love, No hate ❤❤
The reboot should do an idea I came up with earlier this year, keep him as a main character but write around him in such a way that he's never seen or heard. Like, I can definitely believe Dale would be the kind of person who would become super paranoid to where he's still doing things and causing mischief but we always miss seeing him.
It's just funny hearing Reviewed2Death and Monk bagging on Illinois(my fiancee's from Illinois; I'm from Alaska)... It reminds me of my hatred of Utah...
I often tell people my age with another statement that i say that "Age is relative and just a number"… I myself have a few recordings of The Andrews Sisters as well as a few copies of "Merry Christmas" by Bing Crosby which has a couple of songs with him and The Andrews Sisters 😉😉
Cotton couldn't let Deedee work. To do so would be a personal failing that lies on him. Do you not realize when cotton was brought up? The percentage of women in the workforce was almost non-existent, and the only reason a woman would have worked is because her husband was a failure as a provider.
The fact that Cotton stole a historical artifact all for a driver's license was both clever and stupid at the same time. Because on the one hand all Cotton wanted in exchange for the leg was a driver's license and it would've been all too easy for Mexico's diplomats to give it to him, While on the other hand if Cotton didn't think that stealing the leg wouldn't get him in trouble he was dead wrong. Because you know he got arrested and held for psychiatric evaluation. But anyway those are the reasons why Cotton's plan to steal to leg were both clever and stupid at the same time.
maybe it's because I'm originally from oklahoma, but the museum tour guide saying "genral santyannys artificile laig" always triggered the shit out of me
Weird Hec Dorland comes up in this video. Sorta didn't ever catch his wife(?) ever being a character and getting a passing reference. Hec is part of one of my all time favorite episodes of KotH, "A Firefighting We Will Go," as well as a weird retcon where he just sorta gets redesigned as a middle aged dude bro who lives down the street from Hank and co. in "Born Again on the 4th of July." Totally has pee wee football coach with a kid on the team whom he's attempting to relive his glory days vicariously through vibes
I think that if the revival happens the best way to sunset Dale would be have be him away serving a prison term for some unexplained domestic terrorism charge. Depending on how long the "Time skip" is they could even replace Dale, in the alley with Bobby, and have Gracie do middle stories (maybe keep Luanne and Lucky off screen in Dallas or something with Grace just staying for the Weekend/ Summer or whatever.)
Goodness gravy 😅, folks like me stay in Illinois for family, not the state 🤣. If I could take the clan and push them somewhere else I ABSOLUTELY would. Thanks for all you do!
They should really think about putting the revival on hiatus. We've lost Brittany Murphy, Tom Petty, and now, Johnny Hardwick. It's going to be a "Flanderized" version of the King Of The Hill show we all now and love... Have a Great and Safe New Year Reviewed2Death sir.
I respectfully disagree. Two of those legends passed away long before they started the most recent revival. Idk what their plan was with Lucky and Luanne but they must have had one. Dale (Johnny) on the other hand had already recorded some lines and they had stories written so it’s more complicated. But irl people die. It sucks. I’d hate to miss out on the potential joy that matured/new characters can bring. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for a good time. Call it cautiously optimistic.
Dale and Nancy are small town. I got the impression that Arlen is its own freet standing town. It doesn't give me "suburb" vibes. Durndle, Belton, McMaynerbury. No idea if these are actual Texas cities. But they seem like Texas cities, but not in the suburbs.
As far as having Dale in the series revival after Johnny's passing; i think it'd be hilarious if Dale was picked up and whisked away by the Government cause he was actually right about a lot of things and they want him on their team to help with stuff 😆
In terms of the remake, the RIGHT move would be to have Dale pass away from work a related lung illness. If you remember in the episode 'The Exterminator' his doctor literally says if he doesn't stop using poison to kill bugs then he wouldn't live past 50. Well... Given the time frame in which the remake takes place... It would make sense...
I, personally, feel like the best route would be giving Dale a voice box like Ned from South Park. It feels like it's the natural conclusion to Dale's decades of chain smoking, and I feel like hearing a robotic voice spouting out Dale's usual conspiracy theories.
9:08 Well no, but life isn't unfair either events,. epople can be unfair, maybe framing the whole of life as fair or unfair doesn't make sense in a vaccumm.
