Nice! What kind of inputs does the PC/TV card have? I assume at least a couple composite inputs! Edit: never mind seems like ur using RF or something. The video quality is pretty good!
Two composite video inputs, and one RF input. I'm using the composite inputs here, but the addition of an NES via the RF input could make for a great trifecta.

Liking how the FM music instruments are hard-panned to the sides, then to the middle and then reversed to emphasize the dual OPL2 feature.
I had the 1000 RLX, 20 mb hd(faulty) with the printer, keyboard, mouse and monitor. Great deal. About the hd, it jumped between DOS and Deskmate.. I had it replaced(3 year warranty) and it worked fabulously! I miss Windows, DOS, especially Desk Mate: a graphical user interface)!
My father bought a 1000SX when I was a kid, and the early Sierra titles ran great on it. When they switched to SCI, performance went completely downhill. I bought myself a 1000TL when I was 15 (saved all my pennies!) and all the Sierra stuff ran great on it until they switched to VGA. Tech keeps on rollin'
I've not encountered a TGA II (640x200x16-color) driver for Windows 3.0. There's a 4-color, "TGA" driver that can be used though, which can be found in the "TANDYDSP.ZIP" archive on Jim Leonard's oldskool.org website. Hope that helps.
Here's a bonus surprise! Although Ultima V funnels all its MIDI data into one channel during playback, the composer's original track assignments are hidden somewhere inside the event data. In the 90's I captured the MIDI data through a Roland SCC-1, separated the tracks back into their respective MIDI channels, and discovered hidden percussion and sfx in there too! I've uploaded MT-120 performances of all the scores, and put a link in the description where you can download the MIDI files...ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rtV096oPiCg.html
This is badass! It really captures the same atmosphere as Homm2, which formed my perception of what quintessential medieval fantasy music SHOULD sound like. It is crazy to think you could have been listening to this, years earlier. I loved listening to this, thanks for posting.
Really amazing! Playing midis on my opl2 sb pro clone in 1993 blew me away, awe32 a couple of years later blew me even further away and well, Paul Romero's work on homm2 was something out of this world :)
This is a real treat. Thank you from one Ultima fan to another. I usually played the Ultima online ost when I played Ultima games. But I guess these tracks are exclusive to the game here.
Nice demo of a classic Tandy 386 machine. One thing people might want to be aware of: Older Palm Pilots that lack WI-FI are unable to synchronize with later versions of Windows OS. This Windows 95 machine would come in handy to synch your Palm device. There is a movement to "unplug" from smartphones, in order to be more productive and have less distractions in your life. 🤳🏻
Ultima V changed my entire childhood, and I loved every minute of gameplay. :) I placed a lot of homages to Garriott's work in my own series of books ("Diamond Dragons"). 🐲✨🐲✨🐲✨
Honestly surprised the Atari's version of the track sounds so close to the C64. In 2023 I occasionally play these songs in-game during Space Station 13, which is a game where you take on a job at a doomed space station overrun by traitors, cultists, and blobs, but which was originally released in 2003 and has had open source development for twenty full years. The result is one of the most feature-rich games of all time, including the ability to import MIDIs and play them on an in-game instrument!
The intro to feel_nrg.mid is nothing short of magical - it really makes the SW60XG sing in such a beautiful way. A shame XG synth parts have become so damn expensive...
Nowadays the best way to Ultima 3 is the Fox Cunning mod for the NES port. Can even use the C64 soundtrack. Might not sound as good but it'll play better!
