I left Android after 7 years and went to iPhone and OH MY GOD it's like I escaped a prison camp and arrived at a beach resort. Let's look at your breakdown of 3 ways Android are better and measure it up to reality: Android's THREE big wins: 1. Customizing a launcher, lock screen, or always on display, making a light sabre sound. 2. Budget 3. Being different. Now let's put our feet back on the ground. 1. Is a custom home screen that 90% of people make uglier than stock, really THAT MUCH more important to you than having 26 tabs open on your computer browser and when you leave the house and go to your phone, all those tabs are instantly opened up for you in a tab group automatically? Is it really better than having all your passwords automatically remembered in a secure vault across all your devices automatically without a single subscription service or third party app or having to click a single effing thing, ever? Not only remembered, but automatically filled in for you biometrically without barely lifting a finger? Of course that 3 hours wasted on icon packs only to realize the original ones were best, is a lot more important than having everything AUTOMATICALLY EASY. 2. Budget. Usually you can get a comparable Android for cheaper than a comparable iPhone -- it's true. But GETTING a device has nothing to do with budget. It's called total cost of ownership. For example, if you buy a car for 20% more but it lasts twice as long, did you know it's actually 40% cheaper to own? iPhones get OS and security updates for YEARS longer. Once your updates are gone, your phone is a ripe target for hackers to steal your identity and money, iPhones have much higher resale and trade-in value. They don't break nearly as easily and don't get issues like infamous swollen batteries from Samsung. On Android, you lose about double the resale value each time you upgrade. A lot of people don't even bother reselling because it's just a piece of junk by that point. While iPhone users literally resell their phones for several hundred dollars. A used iPhone is CHEAPER than a new Android and often better quality and longer lasting than the new one! WOW, didn't think of that did you? It's not about the price of GETTING the phone, it's about the yearly cost of ownership of HAVING a phone. Pixel 7 Pro lost 80% of its resale value in the same time an iPhone Pro Max lost 14% of its new value. Yeah you got it for $900 instead of $1100 but now you're walking away lost $700 in value already and iPhone you lost $200. 3. Being different. From who? Certainly not different from all the fools who have 19 megabytes of every single drop of their private data sent every day to Google, and being auctioned off to advertisers and other parties including NSA, DHS, and FBI front operations. Not to mention having no automatic lock-security that stops the same stuff also going to Meta, Amazon, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, and every other app you ever used. Different sure, you got a green bubble which really means you're not end-to-end encrypted. That means your mobile phone provider was, is, and will continue spying on your messages and selling the data because they're not end-to-end encrypted? Not just the legal spying, they recently caught them doing ILLEGAL spying too -- wasn't ever a problem if you had an iPhone though, you're safe. So yeah you're different that way too. Let's think of another difference. Your google account is tied to a gmail which if you read the terms of service, google AI and ad analytics is literally studying and putting everything about you in the database. Yeah that's sure different. A light sabre sound is way more important than that though. Way more important than having a worse camera that does hideously false color rendering like a saturated cartoon. Viva la diferencia! Here's another difference you can celebrate along with the light sabre sound effect: your phone gets kinda slow and junky several years sooner, by usually before then it breaks, or gets a swollen battery, the charger port doesn't work, the case or screen cracks, and so on. IT'S ALWAYS SOMETHING. EVERY DAMN TIME SOME CHEAP SHITTY SOMETHING GOING WRONG. And that makes you different. Because you're always buying a DIFFERENT phone to replace the last piece of junk. That's what makes you DIFFERENT -- the fact you always have to buy a DIFFERENT phone so often. And you're LOSING money while thinking it's cheaper. Absolute genius! Always good to have two perspectives. No bad feelings everyone. I have and develop apps for both. Just needed to show the other side of the story. Truth lies somewhere in the middle but for me, having better reliability for CHEAPER matches up nice with the EASE OF LIFE features, and also I get annoyed always having to replace my phone after some failure on it. Cheers!
To this day I truly believe the macbook Air 2015-2017 is best cause keyboard is solid. You can argue those newer maxbook airs r better, but for a budget these can be had with i7, 8GB RAM, 526GB for not much more then $350. If you're not a gamer & don't need ios to be updated to latest & greatest then these are solid laptops that can def carry you for next 3-4 years till you decide to upgrade (IF you decide to). These will last easily into 2030.
Once you've said 13/15 pro max once you don't need to keep saying it! Just say 13 or 15 we know what you are talking about. So annoying saying the whole name about 50 times!!
I upgraded to the iPhone 13 small version and got the iPhone 15 pro max cameras are better display is better and the wireless feature I don’t care about Dynamic Island but no notch I’m good
iOS is very frustrating to use. Their software was built primarily to track / sell statistics vs. usability. Nothing is consistent with iOS. Settings are all over the place in wrong areas, etc. Notifications do not work properly for every app. There is no back button making "back" different for every singe app, etc. The one that gets me the most though is Apple asking for credentials all the damn time. Update? Log back in, Apple just wants to be a dick, log back in. Lastly, Face ID is a joke... Fails to work a lot. Overall, I can not use Apple because I do not want to cringe every time I pick up my phone.
There is no "best". It really comes down to whether or not you like to be in control, or if you like to be controlled. If you like monthly bills and looking like a sheep, go Apple.
I switched from the 13 pro max to the 15 pm and within 5 mins it felt like exactly the same phone, Dynamic Island I’ve hardly ever noticed and with a case the titanium is lost anyway. Having said that I think this year may be the game changer as ai is featured and the 15pm is the minimum spec compatible.
This was the best review and honest with side by side proof! Apple is working with if it is not broken dont fix it mentality, while getting us hyped about the faster chip 10-30% more than the previous BS! Thank you for this video
Thank you for a great video. Very much appreciated and very clear! Marc what are your thoughts about Apple wallet versus Google or Samsung wallet? I’m a massive Apple wallet user and couldn’t do without first class wallet.
We cannot put all blame on the Democratic party . The Republicans are just as guilty for the collapse of civility in America. Biden however is responsible for the collapse of global Peace.
My Android doesn't lag. I've had Androids for 15 years, at least. I find iphones to be the school uniform of the cell phone world. There's nothing interesting or unique to them. Especially when everyone and their grandmother has one.
Still using iPhone 11 Pro Max still have great battery all day loved the rounded edges phones hard to let this phone go … probably get a iPhone 16 plus next don’t need the extras why spend more…. 75% of people only use 25% of features on phones.
I gave my dad my iPhone 11 pro max, and sometimes when I go see him I will take the iPhone out of the case just to feel the round edges 😂 such a great design
I've never owned a iPhone. I just find them dull and uninspiring. They’re the school uniform of the cell phone world. I like that with Androids, there's so much variety. So much customization. And you're not locked into the OS like Apple do with its users, making switching OS difficult.
I still want a headphone jack many years later. I prefer them over bluetooth earbuds any day. You lose corded earbuds? No big deal. You lose airpods or a single left or right airpod... that gets expensive QUICK! What I don't understand is that whenever Apple does something Samsung copies them. This is such a mistake. By doing so Samsung is voluntarily surrendering their competitive advantage. PEOPLE DON'T BUY SAMSUNG BECAUSE THEY ARE LIKE APPLE. They buy Samsung because they are NOT LIKE Apple. Or at least they were. That margin is getting narrower all the time. I believe many people think, "well if Samsung is just going to copy APPLE, I might as well get the real thing". That was one of the factors in me getting an iphone 13 Pro max a few years ago. I regretted that shortly after but that was the mindset that got me to give it a try. I wish Samsung would come out with a new phone called the 'Galaxy Classic' with a headphone jack, premium fast charger, premium corded AKG ear buds, IR blaster, expandable SD cardslot, and a replaceable battery (like they used to) and see how it sells. I feel it would do well. Yes that would decrease the profit margins but it would likely increase market share. Which is something they really need in the USA right now. I really want a replaceable battery. I don't care if that doesn't make the phone waterproof. That is okay as I don't go swimming or scuba diving with my phone. Additionally I miss the XL batteries you could place in android phones. Yes, it places a small hump on the back of the phone but you get incredible battery life. Appreciate the video and the talking points @Everyday Legends. Thanks!
Really good video. Nice to see more and more Android fans in the USA where Apple is king. I live in Australia and both Apple and Android phones are popular. You're right. Apple phones used to be simple. My dad's been using them for years. But in recent years he keeps asking for help with how to use them. And none of us can help him as we all have Android phones. Apple had Android beat with software updates. But Google and Samsung are catching up. I bought my Pixel 6a on sale for $400.00 AUD in September 2023. The pros are: -Smaller phone -Call screening -Google Android experience -3 years of software updates -Camera -Price -Good quality hardware -Nice design Cons: -Weak screen brightness in the sunlight -No charger -No headphone jack -Unpredictable fingerprint sensor -Haptic feedback turns off (only a recent problem) -Calls not coming through, poor phone call quality (when it was the Android 13 update - fixed now) Google phones are not perfect but the Pixel 6a has been the perfect phone for me. I'm patiently waiting for a Pixel flip phone though - that would be my dream phone ☺️
@@Everyday_Legends Subscribed 👍. This is my first Google Pixel phone and I love it. My husband actually got the Pixel 6 upon release and he is currently deciding which phone from the Pixel 8 line to buy.
I have a 13 pro max and it’s a nice phone but I still liked my galaxy note 8 better. Even though this phone has better cameras and it’s smoother. But I just prefer android more because you can do so much more. But I do care about battery life and cameras so I was thinking a pixel or a Samsung. My first thought was the flip 5 but people have been saying that the camera isn’t great.
Weird. I came from Samsung to iPhone and I'm amazed. I can do "so much more" minor things that don't matter much on the Android, and DO SO MUCH MORE AMAZING things on the iPhone. Are you sure you have learned how to use your iPhone? It's worth it, because once you learn you always know. Google/Android always killing off features or totally changing them every few years, but on iPhone once you learn advanced tricks, you become a guru for life.
@@freecivweb4160 yes. It’s just that my iPhones screen has issues with the touch response and other strange things happen with the screen. It opens up random apps when in my pocket and sometimes even when it isn’t, and I have to tap the screen twice to get it to respond on websites. I often have missed taps on the screen a lot. I found out that my model has a hardware issue from apple when I reached out to them about my concern. Sometimes the camera quality on mine is inconsistent. Sometimes mirror pictures look great, sometimes they look meh because of the focusing issues(on my model). Same story with video and night photos. Sometimes they look fine, sometimes they don’t look so great and it gets a little frustrating sometimes.
I'm still rocking my iPhone 13 Pro Max 1tb. I just don't see a reason to upgrade to the newer phones. I will have to see what the iPhone 16 Pro Max brings. If it does not impress me enough, I will stick to my 13 Pro Max. Great video and advice!
Tbh the iPhone on IOS18 will have most of the things android has which wouldn’t be a need to make the switch. 120HZ,AOD, PIP,move apps where ever on Home Screen, lock apps, schedule messages, hide apps all of that with a very polished experience is the win and is enough. The only thing missing is split screen, hopefully in a few more updates they’ll add it.
