iPhone versus Android/Samsung/Google Pixel, which one is truly better?
I was an iPhone user for a long time - iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4/4s, iPhone 5/5s, iPhone 6s, iPhone X, iPhone 11 pro, iPhone 13 pro, as well as multiple iPod's, iPad'd, and Mac's. Android just offers more - multitasking, split screen, pop-up view, customization, custom launchers, custom home screens, widgets, a usable app drawer that isn't bad like Apple's app library, better quick toggles and notifications, easier UI, usable widgets that are interactive, work profile for work applications, back gestures from whichever directions and in any application, ability to do what YOU want with your phone.
My first android was a Samsung Galaxy S8+. This completely changed my outlook, since it was my first Android phone. I was able to make it mine - customize it, side-load apps if I wanted, and use it to whatever extent I desired. Since then, I have owned Pixel phones and Samsung phones with zero complaints.
Is this to say iPhone is bad? Of course not! And there will be a video coming up about that.
For me? Android is my personal device. I use an iPhone for video recording.
There are definitely pro's and con's to each. All-in-all, I prefer android, but iPhone's are terrific options and without a doubt come with a strong and integrated ecosystem (or walled garden, depending on your perspective).

always been an android user, switched to iphone for a year and a half, and now i'm back to android and im glad i did. i feel free when i'm on android.. i mean, the iphone itself was good, ios was the only downside..

Not its should be droid vs Iphone , because many different phones use different versions of android. Samsung might be the most popular but its not the only droid brand.

Really good video. Nice to see more and more Android fans in the USA where Apple is king. I live in Australia and both Apple and Android phones are popular. You're right. Apple phones used to be simple. My dad's been using them for years. But in recent years he keeps asking for help with how to use them. And none of us can help him as we all have Android phones. Apple had Android beat with software updates. But Google and Samsung are catching up. I bought my Pixel 6a on sale for $400.00 AUD in September 2023. The pros are: -Smaller phone -Call screening -Google Android experience -3 years of software updates -Camera -Price -Good quality hardware -Nice design Cons: -Weak screen brightness in the sunlight -No charger -No headphone jack -Unpredictable fingerprint sensor -Haptic feedback turns off (only a recent problem) -Calls not coming through, poor phone call quality (when it was the Android 13 update - fixed now) Google phones are not perfect but the Pixel 6a has been the perfect phone for me. I'm patiently waiting for a Pixel flip phone though - that would be my dream phone ☺️

I feel you from the start... i have a 22ultra and multitasking mixed with the way you can fit the phone the way you like the most is perfetto... you just need a little bit of time and curiosity to handle every shortcut

I have used Android for many years, and i have never had an iPhone or any other Apple product. Android has more customizations too. You can also sideload/install apps on Android, and you cant even sideload apps on iPhone. Android gang!! 😸

@@RagingBad they always have the same key point to "take down" android..not sure if the dude above is an apple fanboy though. I read optimization and i laugh because it has become a buzz word, oh, this app sucks because on android , it's not optimized like on iPhone and then i use it and i go , exactly where? more times than not, they can't answer . I find apple buyers quite stupid but i must be semi stupid because i own some apple products myself hahaha. but the whole blind support thing really wows me at times. Btw, i also think android fanboys are dumb too. however, nothing as pretentious and smug as apple ones. Maybe Huawei ones if you were based in Asia...tbf, it was "faster" than the previous samsung back then, when they switch to UFS and had way less bloatware than Samsung. Samsung was using emmc still at that point whereas , iPhones were using SSDs if not mistaken. started with the ipod shuffle in 2005 if not mistaken. Hence the feeling of it being "smoother".. I usually turn off or limit samsung's animation myself , it feels sluggish to me and it's not really.

If you are nervous about switching, go on ebay and pick up an older Pixel/Samsung for a couple hundred dollars. Might be worth it just to know if you love it or hate it :) Thank you!

I use a 13 mini and a Pixel. I prefer Pixel's stockish Android to iOS. The only reason I use the 13 mini is it's size & weight. Like mentioned in this video iOS has a lot of limitations & frustrating to use. Why can't Google make a small Android phone?

iPhone mini was so slept on! If the battery was just better, but they had space constraints. I'd buy a small pixel immediately, but it would need to get decent battery life

What are you using for a "Work" profile? It looks like a specific home launcher, perhaps Nova Launcher (since it's the only very popular one I'm aware of that's still around).

I switched from premium iphone to mid-tier Android 19 months ago, and the Android experience has been phenomenal. I will definitely get the premium Android at some point in the future. If a $500 Android has already given me a far more improved experience to a $1600 iphone, then I can only imagine the experience of a $1600 Android.

Hi Sean, I am a UK viewer of your this video. I have been an iPhone user from the beginning, but your video is making me think about switching to Android (Samsung), However, could you answer the following questions please. 1. Can I transfer all the data on my iPhone to a Samsung phone? 2. I use Magsafe on iPhone for charging. Does Samsung have an equivalent? 3. What about the choice of Apps offered on the iPhone versus Samsung. 4. It seems that the iPhone produces better videos than the Samsung. 5. Do you know when the Samsung S25 is going to be released. Sorry to be a pain, but changing would be an enormous switch for me. Many thanks.

Hello there and greetings from Florida! 😎 1) Yes! When you get a samsung phone (or pretty much any Android - I recommend Google's Pixel as well) they have an app for transferring all data. When you start up your new phone, it will have instructions on the screen and it's a very easy and quick process from my experience - normally it's as simple as connecting both phones together with a USB C to USB C cable. 2) Magsafe works for Android phones BUT you need to have a case that supports it. There are some work arounds where you can put a magsafe ring (look on amazon) with adhesive to the back of the phone or non-magsafe case, but yes it works as long as your android phone also supports wireless charging. 3) Apps will be the same for the most part, but Apple will always be better optimized. I would google the apps you can't live without and check if they are supported on android. Android also opens the door to sideloading apps - installing apps that are not on google play store, so that's something to consider as well. 4) From my experience, Apple wins in video. I even record all my street interviews and videos with an iPhone 13. Some people will argue that Android looks better, but overall iPhone wins. Photos can look a lot better on Android though. If camera quality is your focus, check out the Google Pixel. It has an incredible camera and has progressed a lot when it comes to video. 5) Samsung normally releases the S series of phones in January/February. I guess this could change, but my bet would be January/February 2025 for the S25's to be released. Not a pain at all! Hope that helps and thanks again for the view and comment 😃

iOS just feels so boring and archaic. I switched to Samsung after iPhone 11. And 60hz screen on a $799 phone? 120hz is available on android phones less than half that price. It's not a PRO feature. It really does change the user experience. Shooting video on iPhone is the only thing Android can't seem to match. Dex on samsung phones also adds so much value.

I hop between em every few phones, so far mostly been on android. Just switched from a 13 mini to an s24, and it feels like coming home. I used the app drawer on ios all the time cause i prefer to have a clean home screen, and yeah, its not the best.

Just a matter of choice. BTW, if you want just work apps at a certain time, in iPhone it will automatically switch to your work apps when you arrive at work or you can select them easily from focus mode with one button push…IJS…

My daughter uses the App Library frequently. Idk why, ig maybe bc they’re all already separated into what they are. So u just touch the entertainment box or game box and then choose which app. I do like the seperate control center/notification setting that pulls down too 🤣 I was an android user forever, switched bc of the kids and we have crappy cell service so with iMessage we can put the email into it and as long as their is wifi the messages send which was soo helpful. I wish Samsung would make their messaging like theirs and I would switch back instantly. Also the control features for ur kids is nice I’m not sure where android is with that. I like being able to see their location whenever, control their screen time and share any apps bought with the family sharing, nd find my is nice too. But I hate they charge what they do and android has kicked their behinds on Cameras!! I so want the capacity of any of the Samsung 21 and up💯

Admittedly I like the control center now without the words. It doesn’t take much to adjust to what they are. I love how they’ve added the permanent box for your music to stop or play or send it to a device. It also works for the side windows for anything your watching and threw off the screen for a min. If I end up needing to do something else I can grab it from the small side arrow and reopen it and start watching the video again. Idk if android does that ?

I meant if I end up doing something else and don’t want to hear it anymore but don’t want to close it I can pull down the control and pause it. When I’m done I can restart the music or video from there again.

What a great video! Very well done! Thank you for putting forth the effort to create and post! Some things that make me miss Samsung Galaxy over i-phone: 1.) The screen is way more vibrant and colorful 2.) The screen is is way more responsive to touch 3.) The keyboard is dramatically better than the i-phone keyboard (both in layout and usability) 4.) The overall immersiveness the phone provides with haptic feedback 5.) Far simpler user interface. (you can preform identical tasks with less steps) 6.) Lots of quality of life enhancements that places more information at your fingertips 7.) The zoom on the camera is amazing 8.) IMO Google Play is much better than the Apple App Store 9.) Just the freedom and not having your options restricted. I-phone has some advantages too, but I really miss Samsung Galaxy as for me it was a much better experience and is something I think about often.

I've never owned a iPhone. I just find them dull and uninspiring. They’re the school uniform of the cell phone world. I like that with Androids, there's so much variety. So much customization. And you're not locked into the OS like Apple do with its users, making switching OS difficult.

I use 13pro and s21ultra. My next phone will be an iphone 16 pro. I dont miss anything when i use my iphone over the samsung. But i message and batterylife is better on my iphone. It also takes better pictures and videos in apps. It just feels better, for me atleast. I never multitask. Have tried using it before i just never needed it. Might be trying an pixel in the future when they get better chipsets and batterylife. But for me iphone is an easy choice. Also ios has no bloatware or multiple albums/apps

I changed a few days ago after 15 years with Apple to Samsung. Despite going from a 'high tier' iPhone 11 Pro Max to a low tier Galaxy A15 5G (literally the cheapeast one) I was blown away with how much stuff you can do on Android. Let's just say I'm never coming back to Apple. The company have degraded so much with their products and operating system. The only thing worth buying from Apple today are Macs and AirPods. Everything else is just trash especially their iPhones!

Lol. My wife and I bought at the same time in 2019. She bought the 11pro max and I got the note 10 plus. Guess which phone is unusable right now? I have to buy a new one cause samsung killed the screen and spen on separate software update. You might enjoy your a15 right now but goodluck using it long term

@@RagingBad money. I'm a student. When I bought the iPhone 11 Pro Max I worked overtime for it. But yes, given how blown away I am from the cheapest model I can imagine the high tier Samsung will be even better! :) And now that I have owned the A15 a little bit longer since my original post I can reaffirm that I'm never going back! My next phone will definitely be a Galaxy S series

With iOS 18, the continued lack of true customisation and ‘live’ widgets is beyond frustrating. What is the point of having a Mail or Calendar widget that you can’t scroll through but have to go IN to the app?? It’s pointless. Apple has almost unlimited resources and their idea of innovation is focusing on ‘Pride’ wallpapers and emoji. It’s an OS for kids and woke types, not adults trying to do proper work on these devices. Take the iPad M1 and Magic Keyboard. I can’t even click on a RU-vid video corner box to expand or shrink - I have to use my finger.
