Have we finally achieved nirvana in an Semi Auto Precision Rifle or SAPR? You might know these as AR10s if you haven't keep up with my lexicon here.
Here in TNP I have been ranting against the SAWC of most SAPRs and have been calling for the industry to lighten them up...for over a decade. "Papa Owns Firearms" answered the call. Thanks to long term donor "Jake" I was able to score this donor gun and grind on it.
As I'll show in the video and inset shooting, POF remain laser beam focused on the mission of the Rogue: to stay light and fast...actually lighter than many AR15s! How did they do it? Some of this was covered in my 2018 POF Revolution review • POF Revolution FULL RE... but the short answer is technological innovation. The Rogue features the same AR15 sized bolt, made possible by a special alloy that allows for it having thinner walls. The result is a bolt about the same size an an AR15s using this alloy that is 50 times stronger than Carpenter steel. That among other things makes this AR10 weigh less than 7 lbs...a real win here in TNP.

Add to review: this particular example had a loose upper to lower fit. It has been corrected in production. Also the charging handle is the "Strike Eagle dual; I think this user had it swapped out. Also this gun is equipped with E2 Dual Extraction technology which I forgot to mention.
