I found it interesting that the villagers have a lot close to the medieval ages, which means that if pillagers were put in the game in 2019 and represent the dark ages(500s) with the rise of literal pillagers around the world sacking towns, then castles(700s) with the rise of Carlos empire and the first knight after its collapse(800s), maybe villager knights existed but now they are all gone? Dang.
