I don’t find any videos showcasing longer overflow hose routing to not dump coolant at PS relay or in your case at the level sensor connector. Please do a video for documentation sake
Definitely will be following. You are building a True Classic. I was looking at a C6 'vette as a Weekend/Track day car. Your car is more modern and faster. Plus, it has a modern LS. Have you lined up enough suppliers to post Package)s cost?
valve seals just went bad smoking all over the place took me a minute too figure it out but I’m looking too do this job myself as I can’t afford anyone too do it for me so I’m thankful this video is here at least I hope I don’t destroy my head after
Your video encouraged me to swap my header to the hooker header. I followed the hooker instruction and watched you guys video for visual during my install. Did you guys also get a check engine light for P0031?
Just found this channel, just as I've bought my third NC, this time to do exactly the same purpose as yours so excited to follow this. One OEM mod that's meant to be great Is Yellow Dot Anti Roll Bars off an Rx8
Something like this is one of my dream cars honestly. Coupe feel but can still haul some kiddos. I love the RX8, it's basically a bigger miata seeing as the NC shares the same chassis. Nothing is like a rotary...but this setup would be something you could actually drive everyday and not worry about 70s Ferrari level maintenance lol. I'd prefer a K series built to rev to 8k+ but this is a much more cost effective swap and the character still fits the car. Those V6s sound pretty good and rev high enough. Plenty of power too...the only thing is it looks like it has a lot of rev hang. Wonder how easy it is to tune that out.... Sweet build man!
Ah crap, this kit moves the washer bottle right where my brake booster is (RHD car). Do you know if there's a RHD version? BTW what wheel and tyre sizes are they, and how is the fitment?
I love my 2SS 1LE 6th gen Camaro, but this is the dream. Chevy's LT and LS engines, that sweet Tremec, and the Miata experience all in one - just awesome.
This car never got the cred, it's truly sad it was only 3yr run. 1lapsrt (real race car) used to regularly pass race z06's. Modern civic type R basically. Fun story, i also has a 5spd turbo pt cruiser gt (same engine) that i would race and pass hot cars with. But it too was too heavy and fwd, and not as good as the srt.
I'd love to see Thottle House do an episode on this car! If I could afford one of these, it'd be in my driveway right now. Best wishes for you and your awesome business!
I think the reason why the front wheel bearings go bad on these is because the spindle apparently flexes under hard turning look up the aftermarket support brackets that they make for the front spindles and you'll see what I mean I'm going to try putting a support bracket on before I do the wheel bearing change and see how that works out
I’ve said this over and over again, y’all’s channel is criminally underrated. If y’all ever come to Austin, TX, please let me know. Would love to host y’all at the local racetracks.
