Hey Everybody! My channel is about "Do It Yourself" sewing and other forms of creativity. I'll show you how to sew easy projects like Tote bags, purses, Teddy bears, quilt blocks and even the whole quilt. We will even sew projects that I have never made before so we will learn something new together. I will teach you the basics of how to Crochet so you can crochet anything you set your mind to and I will share with you crochet projects that I love. What great finds!! Each book has some really great ideas!! I especially love the grandma's best book. You could make a sampler quilt with any number of blocks. Loved Luna's appearance when you mentioned the Siamese pattern. 😂😺 Have a great week!!
I'm really excited to try some of the patterns for sure. Also I love the idea of a sampler quilt. That would make a really good RU-vid video quilt along. I could pick several different squares and we could quilt along and maybe people could share them on my RU-vid channel Facebook page. Luna was so funny popping up right when I was looking at the cat pattern. 😹😻
I think 1 of each block would look great... They're all different. Definitely keep the pink as sashing around each block.. keeps them separate.maybe use the gingham as an inner border and then use an outer border. Great job!! 👍
Thank you very much. I'm going to have a total of 30 embroidered blocks and there are a total of 12 different designs. I want to make the quilt large enough so the little one can grow up with it for a few years. I may end up just using two different blocks because I'm not sure how to do the 12 blocks in order to get a total of 30. I can do two of each one then I'm not sure how to add six more because I want them to be all uniform if that makes sense. I do like your idea about doing the gingham as an inner border
That is a 4x4 hoop. A hoop has to be larger than 4 inches x 4 inches in order for the maximum 4x4 inch design to fit into it and stitch out safely with it hitting the edges of the hoop. It is not the hoop measurement that is 4x4, It is the maximum design that is 4x4.
@@jenniferssewingandcreativity thank you , also …..if I want to change my foot to a 1/4 “ foot , is there a way to see it on the machines computer screen. Is there a way to let the machine know it’s been changed and to which foot ?
@@lucillebarone6509 When you set the stitch you want it will tell you on the screen which foot to use, it's usually a little number/letter in the top left corner of the screen. Check your manual for the stitches and it will show you the quilting stitches and show you the correct number or letter for the 1/4 inch foot. You can also check the included accessories for the number/letter for the 1/4 inch foot. I can't remember what the number/letter is right now. The Brother machines are letters and my Pfaff machine uses numbers and letters for the sewing feet
So it could possibly be the needles you are using. I've learned that some needles just are not compatible. The eye of the needle is either to small and the threader will not go into it or the top of the needle is to thick and it won't let the needle threader line up with the eye. Some of the absolutely worst needles are the cheap Walmart brand. They just will not work on any of the 5 machines I have. I've learned to only buy Schmetz brand or Organ brand needles.

You're very welcome. I just refuse to work with a company that won't work with you after you do what is asked of you. I met my requirements and they never did. To this day I have never gotten a response from them

I really don't know. You will have to look in your manual for software updates and follow the steps for your model. Look for the website to see if there is an update for your model and then follow the steps I showed. I hope that helps.
Was donated this machine and did have issues with attaching the embroidery foot. Thank you for the demo. I understand now however, what is the lever on the foot for? Patricia-South Padre Island, Texas
The little lever that sticks out of the top of the foot, if that is the one you are referring to, it goes over the top of the needle bar. That is what makes the foot have it's spring like action when stitching.
T pins are not made for use sewing fabrics. They are used wmto hold wigs on forms, and are used in flower arranging...thats why they are not extremely sharp. There are pins made as long as you need for embroidery that are truly made for sewing.
Thank you. The sad thing with this quilt, I stopped working on it completely. I got very discouraged with the quilting of the blocks and it's been in a bin under my table ever since. I really need to pull it out and finish it
Oh l can relate. I have several quilts that I've been working on. Some for more than 20 years. I get bored with quilting very easy. I have several craft projects that l got supplies for and have not started. I have to be in a mood for it. But l do like to sew. My goal(dream) was to make a lot of my of my Christmas this year. Probably wont happen. Ha..😁
@@livinginthemoment1625 Since I have the RU-vid channel projects get set aside to start new ones in order to keep the interest in my videos going. I'm currently working on my English paper piecing project that I did a few months back

A lady who watches my channel made me some chickens for my kitchen. Now whenever l find yarn at thrift or yard sales cheap l buy it and send it to her.❤
I do know how to crochet. But l rarely do. The cost of yard mainly. And not many functional items to be made. Used to people used those doilys on furniture. But not so much any more.❤
Very true, I mainly just crochet afghans now. There is a lot of people who will take the doilies and add them to quilts or even overlay them on denim or darker colors for a textured look for tote bags and purses.
Thats a good idea for marking those scissors. Its only me here so l know which ones to use. But made me remember growing up when we were told not to use the "good" scissors to cut paper.ha ha ha.❤❤
I have a hubby who comes into my room and grabs scissors and doesn't pay attention. I ended up marking them all and then he knows that he's not allowed to use those scissors
I’m very sorry and your frustration is totally understandable. I don’t mean to add to this stressful situation, but it kind of sounds like a pyramid scheme. You all are providing almost free advertising for them by allowing you to get products that probably costs them pennies on the dollar. They also know you are going to buy additional products using your own money, thus adding to their profit. I did buy from Temu when they first started. But when there started to be all kinds of suspicious stories about them, I decided to delete my account. I still like to watch hauls just to keep abreast of what’s popular. I have also noticed that their prices have gone up quite a bit since then. I wish you the best!
Im so sorry that Temu has not responded to you. But i agree that if they want utubers to promote their company someone needs to be assigned to help those influancers in a timely manner who may have questions or need assistance. I hope after this video they reach out to you. Hi Luna!!! 👋🐱

Thanks for video. I am having trouble with screen with buttonholes. I have 4 screens that are all lit up and it won’t let me get back to just one screen it is stuck on turn around. Thanks a lot
Turn your machine off and unplug it for a few minutes and it may reset the computer. I've never had that problem but being that their computerized sewing machines it could be that you just did too many commands too quickly and it locked up.
They have several different sizes of jelly rolls. I've gotten the 42" ones from there before, but I doubled checked measurements. They're usually in the photos
