In this video I show you how to do the construction of the Chandelier quilt blocks. I'm sorry this video has taken a bit longer than it usually does. Migraine headaches are killing me lately.
This pattern is a free pattern on the MSQC website, and I do have permission to use ant of their patterns.

The fabric you chose looks very pretty all put together. What I do before sewing is use a leader / ender to help with the thread nests when I start sewing. I can help save thread too. Take care Jennifer!!

Thank you so much. Omg, I can't believe I forgot about using a leader piece of fabric. I'm telling you these darn migraines have me all forgetful.

I made this pattern by the instructions but figured it would be so much faster & easier using the strip method instead of cutting the 2.5” squares & then attaching to the strips.

I think you're right. It definitely would be faster. It was my first time doing a Chandelier Quilt and I followed the MISSOURI STAR QUILT COMPANY pattern

@@szelop That is great 😃. I'm going to have to find a video or the directions on how to do the strip method. I know I've seen it before but my brain isn't letting me put two and two together on how to do it.

why is my block finishing at 8.5...I have been meticulous about measuring, cutting, and sewing.

Ok, Let me understand you a bit better. Are you saying that your block finished up at 9 and 1/2 and not 8 and 1/2. Because I just checked the pattern and your blocks should finish at 8 1/2. If they finished at 9 and 1/2 you may have cut your fabric wrong or didn't use the 1/4 in seam allowance. I'm really not sure why they would finish at 9 1/2. The only thing I could say is if you end up having all your blocks finish up at 9 and a half it's not going to be a big deal it's still going to go together right
