More about my channel name:
Haole in Hawaiian pidgin translates literally to "foreigner". In the past, it was used to describe mainly white foreigners in Hawaii. I chose this as my channel name because today it is used more as a description of one's race than in a derogatory sense by most people. When I first moved here though I viewed it as a very bad word! After living here awhile I've realized it's not what I thought and even poke fun at it myself. I embrace that I'm not from here but have made this my home!
