That’s a great sale. And I like those Marvels Greatest Comics reprints. I’m working on those as well. Must be one of the earliest reprint series for the Silver Age super hero books. I like those Cap issues too. Oh, nice save on FF 104! Cool Jones Batman.
80 cents is nice! Jonah Hex #1 is always a good pick-up and an obtainable rabbit hole to go down for a run. I also consider myself a high-ranking official within the wounded warrior project. Keep fighting the good fight!
Those are some nice pick-ups- the cover on Green Arrow #50 is great! A silver age Archie! And that Justice League collector's book is a must! Also loving the shirt, Shannon! You labored quite well for those comic on Labor Day!

Hey Shannon, just in case you list your comics, that's not Archie Giant Series, it's Lil Jinx Giant Laugh-Out #40. For reasons I havent' heard truly explained, Archie Giant Series skipped 100, then 200 numbers. In 1965, numbering went from 35 followed by 136, and again in 1976, from 251 to 452. Many titles have "Giant" on them but are not an issue of Archie Giant Series Magazine.

I picked up some nice Dell/Gold Key Disney books for around a buck a piece (a few cost a bit more but were square bound beauties in great shape.) Regarding Kelley Jones' Batman, never cared for those ridiculously long horns on his cowl. But he could easily defeat his enemies simply by head-butting them and running them through.
Looks like you got some amazing deals there! I didn't know about that Batman Haunted Gotham mini-series. I love any Doug Moench and Kelley Jones's Batman works, so I,m putting this on my list. 80 cents for that DC 100-pagers was a steal! Only 20 cents more than the original price if you had bought it back in the day! And if we include inflation over 60 + years you actually paid less than the original cover price! Fun Charlton oddball titles we don't see very often like Lil' Genius and Ponytail (I had no idea Charlton had reprised the series when Dell folded). That Mike Grell Green Arrow is gorgeous (he did a lot of them on his very good run). There is a nice variety in your haul: superheroes, Gold Key cartoons, indie sci-fi, western, Archie... Love it!
Wow, what a great stack of books and all but that Treasury for under a dollar. Jonah Hex #1! Yes please! Yea, it is low grade but that is better than no grade. It is an excellent series. I love that Treasury. As you showed it I pulled out my copy to look through. Again, good stuff my friend.

Some nice pickups Shannon, Haunted Gotham, I don't usually comment on artists but Kelley Jones does some amazing looking work, also some cool Alien Encounters and then pulling that JLA Collectors Edition out at the end. I also liked your use of sound effects as well 😄

That 25 cent Marvel's Greatest Comics is one I did not know I needed until seeing this video! I have most of those 25centers from that month(Oct 1971 but that one is not in the collection...yet. Great stuff; JLA collector's edition, Gunmaster, Cap, Charlton romance, talk about being all over the map like Anthony said, lol! A fantastic foreshadowing of what has of late stirred enthusiastic interest for me -- the Fun , Fun books : Harvey , Archie and Archie style humors , Ponytail ( based on a single panel comic strip akin to Dennis The Menace among other favorites) type comic strip adaptations , GK Goodness - Mighty Samson and 🎶🎶Pink Panther! " All over the map. " that is an excellent statement for a true collector to make when comparing hunts " In the wild". 🗣" What books were you hunting for?" If you keep taking your grandchildren to comic shows, hopefully they will grow to have a love for comics. Very cool books, especially those Marvels Greatest Comics, i had some of those back in the day, always liked that little image of Torch on the upper left corner, torch was one of my favorite characters, 80cents is a steal for those books. My local clam shack is called "fishy fishy"..and its not an LCS.. Southport NC doesn't get any goods per se. so the internet is my only source unless i drift into Wilmington. That Blackhawk issue is great.plus the Severin cover! Glad you're doing well!
I was in Wilmington a couple of years ago while my wife and I were vacationing on Wrightsville Beach and found a shop ( which I can remember the name of ) and came out with a great haul !

Hello My Good Friend. Very cool that they did a facsimile of Police Comics#1, unfortunately I missed out on alot of the great facsimiles, because I didn't know that they started doing them a few years ago, eventually I would like to start buying them & track down the ones that I missed. Very cool Secret Origins#20, 17. Very cool Dr. Solar#24, some of the best painted covers of the many titles. Very cool Blackhawk, those Blackhawks had some fantastic covers. Very cool Sandman Mystery Theatre, I like that cover. Very cool Captain Action#3, Captain Action had some cool covers. The spine looks pretty square on that Superboy giant#1. Sorry for the long comments.

😎👍 Police Comics facsimile Brother Shannon ., got mine back in the early 70s at a con also picked up a Captain Marvel Adventures and Plastic Man # 1 facsimile. Gold Key and me 🤗...🖐wait , that's a story for another show 😄. What I will say is that Gold Key is pure goodness! Silver Age , Bronze Age makes me act my age 🙄; the age I'm always gonna be when comic books I grew up with get shown. Brother Shannon you're making me turn into a 3 Stooges mad scientist , scattering things around so I can build a time machine and go back to the spinner racks and used book stores i was lured to as a kid and teenager so i can get back all those lost and misplaced items of interest I once had! 😕Thanks my brother , now I've got to get busy and clean up my room. I've seen collector shows were they , rightfully so , praise the Wilson - Gollub covers but , wrongfully so , dismiss the GK interior style , with a few exceptions : Russ Manning , Alberto Giolotti , Jesse Santos. 99% of the time they weren't there to understand , like you said My Brother , the FUN GK offered. Nice haul Shannon! I wish my LCS had such a variety to offer. I'm on the lookout for that LoSH Official Index. I think they were 5 issues of that. Glad to see you jump into Sandman Mystery Theater, one of the best series of the 90's (with James Robinson's Starman and Jerry Ordway's Power of Shazam). The Blackhawk cover with the Eisneresque logo looked awesome! I'm putting it on my list.

Such a cool selection of $1.00 bin comics! To me the highlight comics were the Gold Key issues. I remember watching Nikki Wild Dog of the North on the Magical World Disney as a 9 or 10 yr old. I didn't that Gold Key did a movie tie-in. Congratulations! As for the Brothers of the Spear comic, I've always had a soft spot for the adventures of Dan-El and Natongo. Great stories! Know all too well My Brother about Loved ones and health issues. Our beloved community family members are in my prayers. My favorite book from your haul My Brother is " Nikki Wild Dog Of The North " ; Gold Key and Disney , along with Scamp (my #1 Disney character) , Gyro Gearloose (#2) , the animated / live action animal film adaptations were hard to resist back in spinner rack days and still continue to have my attention.

I would sit alongside Grandpa Eduardo who rarely watched TV except for 2 shows he would never miss : Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom @ 7:30 followed by Wonderful World of Disney. It didn't matter if the episode was live action or animated he loved WWOD. Another program he wouldn't miss would be the Jacques Cousteau TV Specials.
