Fantastic, Supergirl run, me too I liked this particular Supergirl costume with the little shield on the upper right, very cool that you still have the very first Supergirl from childhood. Very cool figures & clock. Amazing that 4th of July is just 6 days away.
Yes! Series of the Week is back! This has always been one of my favorite series of videos you have done. Really, all your videos I enjoy so much. Yes, Supergirl isn't Shakespeare, but as you said, it is a fun read. I need five more issues and will chip away at it this year. If I ever decide to venture out of the Bronze Age with my collecting, Cosmic Odyssey will be a series I pick up. It does intrigue me. Happy Friday my friend. Enjoy your weekend!

Love those McFarlane Toys action figures. i just pre-ordered my Super Powers Metamorpho figure (thanks to Tempus from Mars for the info!) so I'm right there with you, Brother! Great video Shannon! I agree 110% with you on Cosmic Odyssey. Perfect creative team of Starlin (as you pointed out, is synonymous with cosmic stories) and Mike Mignola (who has a touch of Kirby in his style). The Silly Walk clock is as clever and funny as the Monty Pythons themselves!
Cosmic Odyssey is a great series, that cover to Book 3! That's an awesome Monty Python clock as well, funnily enough John Cleese was in a movie called Clockwise as well.
I vaguely remember Cosmic Odyssey from passing it up in dollar bins. I dig the Supergirl series! It's really far-out and groovy! It's fun you have a coverless #8. I was waiting for that one. It's my favorite cover of the run. The truth most of the cover art is very stiff and lifeless. Nice Cleese clock!
Small world. My original copy of Supergirl #8 is also missing it's cover. Maybe they used poor quality staples on that issue or something? Or maybe we both just liked reading that issue.
😱Rewind that Basil Fawlty time(less) piece Brother Shannon and reconsider such language used : " Not great literature!" ? Only the greatest literature can compel one to re-read its contents. 😍 Shayera (Hawk ginger .. I mean grrl.. Girl ) Hol my #1 DC adventuress and Zatanna😘hh together ; an issue I too must settle for in reprint form. Supergirl #5 , is again on my list. I did read some of those issues. Bob Oksner combining Romance and Humor imagery gave those covers significance. The 20¢ Era as presented by your undeniable appreciation is a look-forward-to series every time my Brother! There's just something more engaging when a short lived series is completed ; it's the thought of what more it could've been.
