Something I find strange is that they always allow armed Jem Hadar onto the station. That would be like if a Russian ambassador were to come to the Pentagon, and they allowed him to have armed soldiers.
What I really wanted to see is that when Jordi went back on board the Enterprise, he would tell Captain Picard that he set up a fatal imbalance in the Pakleds engine and their ship will implode in ten seconds.
So what do you think Star Trek was before the modern era? Because Star Trek is by far the most aggressively "woke" sci-fi series in history. This is a franchise where the actors made themselves look like idiots for hours simply to sabotage TV executives attempts to stop the first ever interracial kiss on public television from airing.
Thanks! Giant birds, "India" (Who wont give out the name of their people), Filo something, Black something, or erm Something erm... give me back my money! Or..... What this control point thing?
The captain of the Pakleds is played by Christopher Collins, a.k.a. Christopher Latta, who was the voice of Starscream in The Transformers cartoon, and Cobra Commander in G.I. Joe. He passed away in 1994. RIP.
I know that the Enterprise needed to go to save Picard by bringing them Pulaski but it kinda sucks that there was no punishment for the Pakleds. Those guys simply shot La Forge twice with a phaser!
As with all peace treaties in the past, the negotiators never take into consideration future problems which could occur as a result of the reasons for a peace treaty in the first place. For example: the negotiators of the Vietnam War never considered demanding the release of all POW's being held in captivity by the NVA. To this day, how many of our fighting men in North Vietnam have died waiting to be released so that they could come home. No one knows. In this instance, the Alpha Quadrant never considered that many founders were still out and about thinking of ways to seek revenge against the federation, klingons, romulans, etc. for their defeat during the dominion war. Had they even considered having all founders still in the Alpha quadrant return to the great link, then it is probable that what happened on Picard season 3 would not have happened. Just a thought. However, I think that Mr. Roddenberry( R.I.P. ) would have been proud of the end result either way.
My guess is Picard was never at any negotiation tables because he saw that the Dominion had no real interest in diplomacy and used it as a trapped, but never brought the Enterprise to the frontlines because he didn’t want to be a war man, knew the Federation weren’t a military, didn’t want to drag his crew into the fray and wished to keep his ship or the name ‘Enterprise’ painted on its hull from being tainted by war, especially given that it’s the flagship of Starfleet and that meant something big.
Never noticed it til now, but the actress of the Founder is a leftie. Kinda brings a smile to my face that one of the main villains is a Southpaw like myself.
