Clicked because my character looks exactly like the thumbnail, but follows the other Judge God Tyr. His brother will be a Doomguide if I need a backup.
Your picture is very nice, although i would say it looks little too much like a modern-day feminist. I feel like she should have a more feminine sexuality about her, given her domain and history with the game.
I actually think that the only thing they did wrong in bg3 was how they involved Viconia. I'd of rather had her and shadowheart switch places where shadowheart was an npc and Viconia in the party. Or even both of them available to the party.
Great portrayal of the Goddess of Pain :) My current PC is a warforged cleric created by a now extinct Temple of Loviatar. His interest in pain and pleasure being how he learns about the world around him, and using it to help teach others.
I have watched and listened to other content creators basically just read off the wiki and put some artwork in. What you have done is explained the character, how it fits in the world, their values, how to roleplay, NPCs, adventure hooks. 1000% this is the content as a DM I love. Great content! You earned a subscriber!
I know this video's a couple years old, but I wanted to say thank you for making it, and you did a fantastic job! Found this video after a very... interesting series of events. I'm playing a wizard in a Curse of Strahd campaign right now, and I struck a deal with a man to gain the knowledge of the "Wizard who nearly brought down Strahd." I had no idea who it was, but my character was willing to sacrifice for the arcana of someone supposedly powerful... and now I'm halfway mind-melded with Mordenkainen himself, lmao. Next session will certainly be interesting.
I know it's more of a pirate thing, and his lack of a hand isn't much of a hindrance due to his deific might, but wouldn't Tyr at least try a hook for his hand-stump?
Centuries ago when the Tablets of Fate were stolen, Ao forced all the deities to walk the earth as their avatars until they were found. As the deity of justice, Tyr questioned the justice of Ao's methods in handling the situation. And now Tyr is blind.
I've been considering running CoS for my fiancée as a solo adventure (heavily scaled for a single adventurer), and having her play as Ireena. I'd rework the story a bit, in this version Ireena has never even been to Barovia before, but is lured there by notice of the death of a distant relative. It's only once she gets there that she begins to learn of her past life and is now trapped by her monstrous suitor. I'm basically reworking the plot of Dark Shadows (2012), specifically regarding Bella Heathcote's character, Victoria.
This is amazing thank you sooo much! Your timing is perfect for me. I’m going to first introduce her as the face of the feast of st Andral - love the idea of her controlling the bats and vampire spawn and laying a beat down or ten! So this lore, stat block and artwork are ideal for me. U da bes!!
IT'S finally here! Like Maria, i also like playing Anastrasya as a fighter. Whilst Volenta is a rogue and a shock trooper, dipping in and out, Anastrasya is instead much more of a typically fighter, using a glaive and plate armour. I also re flavoured the 'rune giant' fighrer subclass to fit her, as she has rhe ability to (when bloodied) become a large creature and therefore double her damage die, as well as gaining the sentinel feat. I imagine her as a mixture of Glory's personality from Buffy the Vampire Slayer qith the body and skill of Artemis from DC wonder woman. She is also the Dog mum, being regularly accompined by a pair of hellhounds and some dire wolves. Currently, she is now ruling over Vallaki, which fits in nicely with the political themes that you mentioned. Thank you for the inspiration going forward, and rhe amazing art ❤
Great video!!! I've been playing her more as a fighter, but I like the warlock idea! Perhaps a multiclass... In my previous game, she controlled the rats in town, Volenta controlled the wolves, and Ludmila controlled the bats. I like the idea of Anastrasia controlling them all! Volenta is too violent for scheming and Ludmila is too busy to use the bats. I will definitely use your inspiration!!! Thanks for the video!
Ilmater is Jesus of DnD, I always played as Monk of Ilmater. Batshit insane homeless looking guy that always took on pains of others and destroyed evil without ever asking for anything. Its so fun.
sorry i know this video is a little old but OMG thank you for making this. Kelemvor is and always will be my favorite dnd god, no, character in all forgotten realms. The complexity of his character is amazing. He was a normal person like you and me but found himself in a place where he had to do a job that no one else could do without corruption. I bet if he had the chance for a person to replace him that wasn't insane, (being the god of death usually only bad people what that power) he would take it. He doesn't wanna do this. I had a campaign that ran 2.5 years where he was the undirect driving force of the campaign (had a lich BBEG).
