Random mob spawn and despawn in bedrock is fucking awful nether is basically unplayable, especially fortresses where you got wither skeleton squads spawning near you almost everytime
If we look at the game industry as a hole, i could imagine we will soon experiance a crisis in this industry as well as in the movie industry. The marked is stuffed with mediocre AAA games wich get better and better in presentation but irrelevant in story and gameplay. There are exceptions of course, especially in the indipendent developer scene but i get a feeling not only the games are bloated, but also the game companies. When even the best sales do not seem to fill the pockets of the publishers enough, than maybe we have reached a peak or are already over it. For me, most AAA Titles nowadays are not as attractive anymore and also new movies and series. Star Wars became lame, Star Trek got wrecked, CoD became boring (again). I recently build myself some retro pcs for games from early 2000s to 2013 (3 PCs, Pentium 4, Pentium Quad Q9650, i7 6700) and i have experianced i often like it far more to play CIV IV oder Warccraft 3 or CoD 2 then i like to play on my modern system (Ryzen 9 5900X). We gained a lot over the years on our hobby with videogames, but we also seem to have lost a lot on the way.
i see the deal breaker with the bedrock edition is "you need to pay for everything", while java giving everything for free. it's like apple vs android but android have better quality
As an xbox series x player let me just say the performance is laughably bad. Just two or more split screen player's looking at their inventory and it almost lags the game out. 4J editions didnt do that... even on much weaker hardware.
I feel like the info about shields not doing anything seems kind of wrong? Idk if you have to manually press something to attempt a block or parry. But in Bedrock you just crouch and it autoblocks everything.
Another example for this can be download content (DLC). Unfinished games are constantly getting updated through finance and currency. Multi million dollar companies asking for more money through the use of characters, character packs or new story quests just makes gaming not so enjoyable for all audiences. Games used to be fun it took you weeks to figure out there was a secret unlock able or achievement either through the manual or from your local game store.
Why are you going all out on a Seagate drive just by the normal one you freak I bought a sea gate for my xbox series X and it's been helping me a lot I have almost 30 games or more installed Don't be a cheap ass just buy it but at the same time don't buy the special edition one are you crazy Don't be a cheap ass just buy it but at the same time don't buy the special edition one are you crazy That's just money on top of money
Why dont they just sell them on physical media that can fit it so maybe sell game disc on SSDs or a hard drives I know that sound crazy but whatever to make gaming more convenient and enjoyable. If we have to pay more money then we have to pay more money just at least let it be an option
Fun fact. The DS version is more accurately canon than the Wii version. It is also the game of my childhood and is very much a really fun 2D sonic game, and arguably more fun the Wii game.
Great Video I Agree with all the points 👍👍👍 , i just wanted to mention another point . Rushing developers to make games , leads to unoptimized assets is another reason aswell , just from a web developers prespective having a short time span to build any project with insane features is going to end up with horrible optimizations which leads up to huge file sizes and possibly security issues. 👍👍👍
You can get all of GameCube, PS1, all console games from before 1995, all 3ds and 2ds games in a PS5 and still have a lot of storage left. But now 1tb is barely enough for 5 AAA games in PS5
I want a game that works, not one that is full of "content" that bloats the storage space because it wants to load a fully modelled version of Mara's cervix or someshit
