I counted this fight , I’m a judge , 7-5 for Castillo .

People like to point out compubox stats showing Castillo outlanding Mayweather by a close margin but if you simply count the rounds that Castillo won it would be difficult to find 7 rounds to give him. All 3 judges felt Mayweather won rounds 1-4, including rounds 8, and 10. All three judges agreed Castillo won rounds 6, and 7 which were huge rounds for him. That leaves rounds 5, 9, 11, and 12 as close rounds that Castillo needed to clearly win just to get a draw which he didn't do. Sorry 🤷🏾‍♂️.

I watched this fight live on HBO and thought Floyd lost the fight then and I've rewatched it and definitely think Floyd lost the fight. Castillo should have won this fight. I also watched the rematch live on HBO as well and Floyd most definitely won the rematch. Should have been 1-1 and possibly a trilogy match. But so goes boxing.

The only thing that Castillo did well, was not show his frustration. Both fighters had great stamina.

I don’t how people can say Floyd lost this fight. Floyd won at least 8 of the first 9 rounds. Castillo’s corner was asking him if he even had confidence after 6 rounds because he had already lost all of them. Floyd bog only won, but it was easy if you know how to score a boxing match. I don’t know where they found the compubox numbers, must be from the dollar store because Castillo barely landed anything through the first 10 rounds. Unless you count those punches where you trap a guys arm and hit his body, or you don’t head butts. This fight honestly wasn’t even that close. lol

It was a tricky fight to score with the point deductions. But even with Me giving Floyd a 2 point round when they took a point from Castillo, and a even round when they took a point from Floyd, I still had Castillo winning by 2 points! Floyd definitely lost this fight unofficially, but the Judges didn’t think so, that’s why he ended his career undefeated, but Castillo did more than enough to win the fight. Just listen to Floyd in the post fight interview, making excuses in a “Win”. He knew he lost that fight as well.

As a challenger, you have to take the championship from the champion. So if the winner of this fight is constantly debated, the challenger may not have done enough to convincingly "take" the belt from the champion, so to speak. Although the challenger may have edged ahead in points. Kind of like in baseball; if it's too close to calll, the tie goes to the runner. (Is that how you use semicolons?)

The HBO crew did a horrible job in their ringside commentary, making it appears like it's a one sided beating win for Castillo which is far from the truth.
