Did you know that the line "Такая любовь убьёт мир" ("Such love will kill the world") is likely an intentional allusion to a famous quote from Dostoevsky's "Idiot" - "Красота спасёт мир" ("Beauty will save the world")?

If this video gets 100 likes, I will translate the song "After me" by Elka featuring in this movie.
Скажем так, фильм смотрелся интересно отнюдь не потому, что это хорошее кино. Если бы там не было космоса, данная киношка бы вообще никому не была интересна. Там все насквозь вторично, если не третично. Но космос спасает все.
What's your favorite Russian name and what's the most difficult to pronounce? Did you learn anything new about how to pronounce Russian names? Is there any other Russian name that you struggle pronouncing? Feel free to comment!
When I learned english I started reading and writing but when I moved to US I could barely speak it, And I also had trouble understanding peaple pronunciation because I could read it but I was probably doing it wrong in my head. Is it possible to learn a decent level of russian without having to move to the country?
Absolutely! With the modern technology it's not a question of where you are physically located. It's a question of how much time you can devote to the language. Moreover you can live in Russia and still not be able to start speaking. I had succesful students who reached the C levels without going to Russia even once.
Hi, My mother language is Spanish and I also speak english and I am very interested in learning russian but I have no one to practice with. My question in, what it should be the first step to learn russian? Besides the alphabet
Hi, Nina! Thank you for your questions! As a matter of fact I was going to talk about it in one of my upcoming videos. Now that you asked me, I think I will focus on these questions in my next videos. Maybe I will do it as a live stream, so stay tuned!
Your lessons are amazing! Your voice is very relaxing, and your teaching is actually good. I never have been good for learning but your lessons make it easier. Thank you!
Your channel is very useful. I suggest you to use IPA transcriptions because they are highly recommended to speak correctly. Good luck and keep up the good work! 😊👍
Thank you for your feedback! I am happy that my videos are useful for you. Thank you for watching. I did consider using the IPA transcription for youtube, but I think methodologically the system that I am using is much better, firstly, because if you start preparing for TORFL you will use the Russian system, that I am using, and secondly, all good Russian textbooks use this system, it is used in Russian universities at so called "подфак"( preparation year for university), and when you study the rules of reading, you will use this Russian system. It's been used for decades and from the methodological stand point I haven't seen anything better. The IPA is a unique and a truly great system, but you need to study it properly first and it's quite complicated because it attempts to embrace all the languages. I am planning to make a video about the transcription system that I am using in the future, so stay tuned!:)
Пожалуйста! да, можно. Например, "Так как заказ был отменён, деньги были возвращены клиенту". "Ибо" is very bookish. The English equivalent of it would be "for": "Ибо ученики Его отлучились в город купить пищи." (For His disciples had gone away into the city to buy food.) Just like "потому что" you can't start a sentence with with unless this sentence is a continuation of a preceding sentence.
