It's good that the gold is extracted from the rock, even if it's mixed with pyrite

Your earth is amazingly rich in metal content. You can even find it on the side of the logging road. I like your surveyvel.

Cool to see what you look like. A lot of the areas you explore are identical in certain ways to my property and location to the south of you, so it's nice to see your content. I'm sitting right on the fence about going back to school for geology or something at 35 years old, but hoping there's a faster way.

How do you make difference between gold and pyrite?

Panning micron gold like you're doing, you just lost most of it.The micron gold is now down stream.

As a placer miner, that rivals my best areas for the amount/size of color per yard. Nice find.

For those asking where the gold is, I bet a buck that he sees the gold, just isn't pointing it out. I'm pretty sure I saw some gold(not pyrite I know the difference).. I highly doubt he would spend the money having it tested If he didn't see some gold. Just my common sense talking.

Keep clean gloves on. Continuous contact with heavy metals and minerals can cause problems later in life. Great videos and thanks!

I love this kind of stuff. Me and my grandpa used to explore stuff like this. I love it! He’s passed away now but I know he would have loved this. Because of him and prospecting with him I got an A* on my geology in college

I have a question my family has about 100 acres of land in the north Georgia mountains about 6 miles from the town of Dahlonega north of Dahlonega. My question is it's been in our family for decades. We have mountains and then we have a creek. that's a good way away probably a couple acres away from the bottom of the mountain, so there's no old minds or anything like that. I think it's pretty much untouched land if I wanted to look, where would I start? I have some in the creek. I haven't found anything but every rock I have brought back. It's been highly mineralized on the top of the mountain middle of the mountain or the bottom of the mountain if I wanted to try to look on dryland, where would I look?
