@@Braydon19 I’ve been there man! Just keep saving & maybe check out the talaria xxx, that’s what I have now. It’s a sick bike & cheaper than a surron. Thanks for watching
@@StuartGrand how is it I heard there nice but when I get one I’m trying upgrade when I get the chance so I didn’t know how customizable the talaria is
@@Braydon19 I love the XXX a lot. The surron definitely has a better aftermarket for upgrades/customizations but it is growing very fast for the XXX as well since it is so popular. The Talaria Boys did all kinds of upgrades to their XXX here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Y_4Qjf74GNA.htmlsi=TQbn4NxblguKNYM5 & you can check out my first impressions video here. You can see how the bike performs with the other videos on my channel too ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RXwpPt9amL4.htmlsi=4mOC-FVZCja4IQvA
I would say the only advantages the Surron has over the XXX are the aftermarket parts & the fact that it has a rear suspension linkage. The XXX does not have that rear suspension linkage so if you're doing hardcore off roading then you might need that linkage. I have not done much hard off roading so the bike has been fine for me
I mean test driving the bike and being obviously impressed with it and then saying that you were bummed out because you have a bad back even though you're driving a vehicle that is it not renowned for being easy on the body is kind of a weird thing to say, especially when you know that there are things like the shock absorption seats out there or you could probably rig up some shocks on the front....
Sure I can understand that. I think what I was trying to communicate was that I would love to buy the bike but because of my personal injuries I would have to abstain. Regardless, the bike is one of my favorite e-bikes of all time
What do you like most about it? I love mine too but after owning a bike like the TalariaXXX its hard to ride a hard tail bike like the RR again. That being said, I'm still keeping my RR for short trips. Thanks for watching!
Thanks! Ironically, I rode this to all of my PT appointments for my shoulder lol. They mentioned that my posture was bad while riding but never mentioned anything about my shoulder so it was ok for a short trip like this
Yes it is quite a bit cleaner than DTLA but there's a lot of hidden homeless encampments on side streets, alley ways & bike paths. The city will clear out some encampments but they will reappear a week later. Thanks for watching!
I was gonna comment on your most recent video but your comments are paused on it. I was just going to mention that you sound about as pissed off as I am when I'm riding around city streets.
I never trust drivers to see me or do the right thing out there..green paint will not stop a car or truck. In heavy traffic areas, I ride on the sidewalk most of the time. I also suggest riding slower and don’t speed up on pedestrians, just give pedestrians a chance to move out of the way..they will move if you give them enough time to react without scaring the crap out of them.
I just got this bike after selling my 125cc pit bike, and it’s so much fun. Insanely fast, I can ride in traffic no problem, and if there’s a lot of traffic I can either filter or go in the bike lane lmao it’s awesome. Sidewalks streets trails bike paths, u have complete 100% freedom on this bike. Such a beast love it
@@StuartGrand what’s great about the slicks, is they allow u to drift on grass or dirt. Also, learn how to do a drift 180 turn. So if you come to a dead end on a trail and u wanna turn arojnd, lean the bike almost all the way over, turn the bars in the way u wanna go, and then blip the throttle a few times, spinning the wheel and bringing the bike around. That’s my favorite thing to do and a great skill to have in case u gotta turn around quick
Hey Stuart I went on the website to order the pegs extension kit. It's says it's unavailable. Anyway you can help me get em. I need 2 order of them for me and my brother
They're probably sold out until they get a new batch in. It looks like a lot of xxx riders need these. It could take a couple weeks until they re-stock, hopefully sooner
Yeah man the RR is great for perfect paved city roads but the minute you add bumps or dirt, the ride is way too uncomfortable. The RR Pro would be much better. I ended up getting the talaria xxx & its been amazing
I have the SE. It came doing maybe 13.5mph but after I disconnected the single little black jumper wire after removing the seat for access, it goes 23mph. You might want to see if yours has this and try it.
These work very well & I'm pretty happy with them. I do need to get them bled though so hopefully that won't be too difficult for a bike shop to do for me
@@StuartGrand good to know! Is there a reason you don’t have the motor cut off wires connected? Also topping up brake fluid is super easy and a savings to do on your own. You can top it up instead of filling by using the funnel and correct adapter that come in the kits, adding a bit of fluid to the funnel and pumping the lever till the bubbles stop coming out
The brake sensors don't have compatible connectors so one would need to solder the wires together or get an adapter. & thanks for the tip! I'll look into some youtube tutorials for topping the brake fluid
I hope they start adopting these in my local community . I am going to give this video a share ! Although here on Public Roads a speed limiter is necessary tolimit the speed to about 15.5 miles an hour I think !
Keep in mind Hollywood & dtla are probably the worst/nastiest parts of LA & that there's many surrounding areas/cities that are actually pretty nice. Are there many homeless in Pittsburgh? I've never been
@@StuartGrand no not really we are actually the second highest state for least amount of homeless people for 100,000 residents La has about 75,518 homeless we have about 3,500 but about 80% are in shelters because the weather gets bad out here so we built a ton of shelters its more of the drug issue here you walk outside there could be a dead guy at your door step from overdose
@@StuartGrand tbh I think the weather is the main reason we don't get that many of them here they all travel to Florida or LA because in winter it's not uncommon to be in the negatives
I have a video coming out soon about this. But you should be fine since I'm 5'10 and able to ride with no issues. A company sent me a set of peg extension brackets which made the bike much more comfortable for me. I had the same concern before I bought my bike but I was fine. You could add peg extension brackets &/or get higher handlebars
@@TedGibson-1650 No problem! thanks for watching. Here's the video in case you didn't catch it ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uoXN6uQeTBA.html
Great video! Woodman & Roscoe. I have the V2 but thinking of upgrading the lights and a bit more power. I just don’t know any shop in LA that can help with upgrading.
Thanks for watching! You might have to find someone who works on PEV's independently. If you ask around on facebook forums someone should be able to help you.

Nice! I have not tried an actual range test but I know I get at least 22 miles in dual motor mode 3. I'm guessing about 25 miles would be the limit for me but probably more if I switched to lower power modes. Thanks for watching!
That's a good video and review! Why don't put the manufacturers not right away the right stuff, like hydraulic disc brakes, a waterproof system, better tires... and so on? It would be a little pricier, but still not too much.
Thank you! & I agree, I personally would pay 10-15% more for this bike if they included all of those things. The bike would not need any mods out of the box like that. I imagine the hardest thing to improve on the bike (from manufacturing) would be the waterproofing, but the brakes should be an easy switch for them
That could be a good idea, I didn't even think of this. But it might be hard to hold onto the scooter that way since I like to hold it right at the folding point of the handlebars when I walk it
Yes, I'll walk it down the aisles with me while holding it by the handlebars. Some stores might ask you to leave it in the front but most of the time I can just walk with it. Here's what it looks like ru-vid.comdb5K93ZZhMI?si=HB-S1dh67J-Yztal
