🌱 Our Mission To awaken people to the possibilities of regeneration-a viable solution to our wellness, water, and climate crisis.
🌱 Our History Inspired by the work of soil health expert, Graeme Sait, and the united belief that healing our planet starts with rebuilding healthy soil, Kiss The Ground was formed in 2013. Our nonprofit organization is dedicated to bringing this knowledge to the world and building a movement centered on regeneration as a key pathway to healing some of the world’s most pressing challenges.
🌱 Our Name The name “Kiss The Ground” was inspired by a quote from the 13th-century Persian poet, Rumi, who urged us to: “Let the beauty we love be what we do. There are hundreds of ways to kneel and kiss the ground.”
📣 Join the Movement We are audience supported. Visit KisstheGround.com to Join the Movement and Get Involved.
Composting is not enough. Being CONSUMER is not enough. This protects not wildlife, oceans, rainforests, ocean floors, regions that get mined for oil, minerals etc. It needs Able Active Caring Citizens learning humanity's finest solutions for everything, incl making school days awesome, doing projects not protests, living values without fear, so healthy babies stay healthy, and grow into peaceful adults ... that have no obsessive need for status, money, security doors, greeeeeed ... and become sound entrepreneurs and good governors. Compost does none of that.
Animo , ojalá los Monegros vuelvan a ser lo que fueron antes de la gran deforestación que se hizo y vuelvan a ser aquellos Montes negros que le dieron nombre por la cantidad de árboles y los montes tan espesaos que allí habian.
Forest Management is key to reducing wild fires. But the federal government is too cheap. So instead of using all that wood for export, making paper or building houses, we're watching it burn and importing lumber from Canada. 😅
Nature bounces back🍃🌦️ I received a gift voucher for my birthday, now 71✨, to buy one books ..seeds, vegetation earth our GREAT shelter,a food garden, rock pools, mountain springs, water is life, life's well-spring ..rivers of life! To BEING WELL. 🙏🏝️🎉💖
I'm definitely not a left leaning person. And I'm not one to just jump on board immediately with progressive ideas like electric vehicles or massive solar and wind farms. I usually find myself yelling at the TV watching these documentaries because they're accusatory, and only show one side of the story. Well not this one. I completely agree that this is a necessity to pursue. We have to stop raping the soil and I believe lithium mines should fall under this umbrella. I really wish biochar and Terra Preta was discussed in this documentary. Nevertheless, well done. This is the way to fix things.
Gabe Brown has fields that have SEQUESTERED 90 Tons of (CO2 Equivalent) Carbon in the Soil...This took ~14 Years.... And he wasn't even TRYING to optimize Carbon Sequestration. These fields hold LOTS MORE WATER (absorbing > 5" of rainwater per hour)... and are 8° Cooler (on real hot days) than neighboring fields thst are under Industrial Farming Management.
Go regen,go covers, mob grazing. Keep roots in the soil . Tramped covers keep soil tempeature down, reduces evaporation and irrigation. No chemicals. Go gal.
First of all, start paying liveable wages to the "illegals" not slave wages, and giving them rights. Pay fare prices for your produce. Always amaze me, people rather buy expensive toys than buy produce. More people needs to start growing some of their own food, doesn't matter your job, do it for the sake of your family! The most useless people in the world makes the more money: actors, musicians etc. Buy Local. A lot of people wants changes but they don't have the guts to do the right thing!
Lucky to have met on of the scientists about a year after this documentary. Ray Archuleta gave a great online presentation to a local soil and water district in Indiana. The district is near the Kankakee River. Learning about his work and the "biology of soil" was eye opening common sense. Good Guy!
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WrreA57l4xk.html Just saying....there's more to this....but yes..our soil should be treated..alongside bumble bees and other things...
TRY......WAKING UP..... THE STUPID ENVIRONMENTALISTS. They wring their hands while thinking up THE MOST ECONOMY KILLING MEASURES....to fight Climate Change. Simple 4th grade math APPLIED TO KNOWN AGRICULTURAL CO2 Sequestration......points to a FREE method of PUTTING CO2.....BACK where it belongs....in the Soil. That would solve a MULTITUDE of Problems ENVIRONMENTALISTS.... PRETEND to care about. (CLIMATE CHANGE, Erosion, topsoil depletion, poisoning food and water, ocean blooms, aquifer depletion, CONTINENTAL WATER CYCLING - the Rain Cycle, cooling farmland durectly ~ 8° on hot days, increasing Photosynthesis ~400%, flooding abatement... ETC....ETC...ETC). Ignoring Soil Regenerstion... PROVES TO ME...that Environmentalism....is JUST A TOOL that $Billionaires use to SECURE.....ILLEGITIMATE POWER. The "CLIMATE SOLUTIONS" proposed....are just a GIGANTIC POWER GRAB to destabilize (only) Western Civilization by wasting $100 Trillion In $$.
Excellent. Delightful. Yadi is our daughters neighbor in Tucson. They are talking with our daughter and son in law about doing community farming. Beautiful and exciting. 😊
You are right tillage is not the right approach but you can't saw every farmer is doing it because that simply isn't true. Also to get cover crops established after harvest can be extremely difficult in drier regions of the country. Please don't group all farmers together and recognize the ones that are doing things right
