Excellent video Tushar and very helpful info! Sign up everyone, It will be my 3rd advanced riding course with him next month and Tushar's training is beneficial to motorcycle riding safety 🏍💯 🥇
Hey, im 17 and used to ride motorcycles almost daily in my home country. So are you saying that passing the MTO written test will get you the M1 license? And you will be able yo drive a motorcycle on the road?
Hey brother , I live in Etobicoke, I noticed a comment that you are an instructor, what school should I look up if I wanted you as an m2 instructor? Thanks !
So, im someone whos never been on a bike. The ideal route to go based off of my understand would be : M1 test-> safety school to M2 -> buy a bike -> ride said bike -> get the M license when possible?
You nailed it! I would also add Advance Riding course after getting M2. At the safety school you will learn foundations of riding but you need more than that to be safe on streets. If you are interested in investing in skill/safety, you can find me at www.tractioncontrol.ca All the best!
Not impossible but difficult to find one. There is a premium price to pay for sure. I recommend to wait until you get M2 or find a company thats willing to change the rate from M1 to M2 in the middle of the contract.
watched this as someone who wants a bike one day. it still seems pretty far off, but videos like this help make it feel much more achievable. thank you !
Just back from my M2 exit test on Walkley in Ottawa, and passed with flying colours, thanks to this detailed video 🙏🏽 . Really helped me polish up on finer points they’d be looking for. Slight variation in route, we left the centre headed west on Walkley, left onto airport parkway, right on hunt club, right on Paul Anka, then left on McCarthy, right on Walkley, return to test centre…passed! Suggestions to me were, 1) look left-right -left…2) pump rear brake to indicate you’re slowing, and 3) merge faster on highway after indicating…all of which I thought I was doing, but he was not going to give me 100 % lol. Good luck to others taking the test….practice…practice…practice! And thanks again bro!
@@nickraycroft he seemed like a crusty old guy, but warmed up with a little conversation. As long as they can see you know what you doing, it’ll be a breeze. Relax, I know easier said than done, breathe and keep saying you got this! My test was only 20 minutes long. Just follow this video tips and pointers and all will be fine. Funny but not funny thing happened before my test, I said to him I don’t have 4 way flashers for the emergency stop, he looked at my controls and said whats that big red button…I thought I was done when he said not a good start when he knows my controls better than I do. Did I ever feel stupid. Good luck, you got this!
@@maritzburger Success, thanks friend. He was a crusty old man for sure. Grateful to have it done and over with. This video was helpful as well. Cheers!
ontario is the worst when it comes to insurance, I actually tried to get onto 2 wheels in 2022. picked up an 85 honda shadow vt750. 26M clean record, 8yrs with a full G quoted at $4500/yr as an M1. put the bike into storage where it still sits hopefully one day it will be affordable enough to ride. making another attempt this year, since I let my M1 expire, im rewritting it this weekend so i can be eligible end of july for M2, also looking at a 95 honda VLX 600. bit of a smaller sized bike, according to the seller of it, through his broker, it cost him $700/yr as an M2 on it which will get me riding this year!
Insurance is awful for M1 riders. Definitely do the safety course (M1 Exit). This will also help reduce insurance rates, and doubles as the test for your M2.
Agreed! insurance is not quite friendly for riders. The gap between M1 and M2 insurance rates are significant, hopefully you find one that suits your needs. Checkout the video description for companies to call around. all the best!
I am 22 born in Mississauga, just now going for my MTO test and i’m so excited!! thank you so much for making this video man. I think I will definitely do my M2-M course with MTO as well just to ensure I am prepared and to correct any bad habits I may pick up as an M2 rider.
Had I seen this video before im sure I would have made the first section within that 7.5secs 😅. But i must say thanks Tushar for the refresher and being an awesome instructor.
Thank you for this informative video! May I ask, could I start riding (using) the motorcycle after M1. Because in G license you can start driving after the written test right (with someone who has the full license). Is it possible in M1 as well? Thank you!
Yes you can but its going to be difficult to find the insurance on M1. I recommend to get M2 before getting insured, the price difference is quite high typically.
Nope never rode a bike before the m1 course taught me a lot at the course and when I did my m2 exit on my finial test I got a 0 like nothing wrong was easy and fun
Yep I went trough learning curves course they had like 20 bikes at the end of the weekend they test you them selves so if you pass they send everything to drive test or whatever and u wait 3 days and just go upgrade it
Insurance companies are out of control especially in Ontario Canada.. They change their rules constantly and write them as they see fit.. ALL insurance companies need to be regulated to make it fair for everyone not just their bank accounts.
Scale is vague but anywhere between $150 to $1000/month (approx) If you are a new rider and your rate is under $150. I would like to consider that as a WIN.
I can not say whether that it is easy or hard. It all depends on a rider. But it becomes easy if you know what they are looking for and you been practicing.
@@tractioncontrol.ca1 makes sense. I have a course booked for my mtest. But definitely nervous. lol. Been riding a few years now. I’m sure I’ll be fine. lol. Thx for the vids.
