Just used my points from the Fusion I traded last Monday, carried points to my new Maverick’s points and knocked several hundred dollars off my Ford bed cover! Woohoo! Saved nearly $300! Way to go!🇺🇸
Same is true with politics. Pick and choose your truths, but if you look at the big picture the other side is right. Mainstream media does it with everything. They can choose the truths to fit their agenda, but in reality when you look at the big picture, conservatives are normally correct.
Watching the clip it kinda seems like user error.. you dad might have tried to go 5>3 but the way the truck redlined really seemed to be what toyota described.. Transmissions can handle a 5>3.. 5>1 thats gonna do some damage
I would have never purchased a Gen 3 simply because of the driving position and how underpowered it is. Recently, I bought a Gen 4 Limited and although not perfect (there’s a little rattle in the headliner on rough roads) I have little to complain about. It has great power, a nice ride, a nice interior, great tech, and is comfortable. I had a 2019 Ranger Turbo and went over 100k miles without issue. That engine would have likely lasted me 200-300k miles or more. I have to imagine that Toyota engines, based on past reliability, will last as long or longer.
It's just the way the internet works. If they sold 90,000 trucks and 20 of those had issues, the internet is gonna blow that 20 malfunctioning units out of proportion and assume the other 89,980 trucks will eventually have the same issue. And yes, TFL's original Tacoma breakdown issue is well over 600k views as of this point. Iirc that's the most views on their off road channel in a while. Your average Joe is gonna share that video to every single person they know whenever they hear someone is about to buy a Tacoma and say "Hey this truck is shit, buy a Ranger instead". I would wager to say that majority of those 600k viewers didn't bother to watch the same fixed Tacoma do the same trail again (albeit in better condition) or other 24 Tacoma doing off-road in other channels just fine. Negativity gains more attention, that's just human nature. Wait for a couple of years and see how reliable this 4 cyl turbo engine is. If it's actually gonna hold up well I honestly think this is the future of a lot of small trucks considering all the emission laws.
Check some of my other videos for some thoughts but at a high level this generation Tacoma is LEAGUES more comfortable than previous for taller/bigger folks
The Tacoma is a great size. Its basically a full size from the 90s. Trucks have gotten massive and i dont need 10k lbs of towing. Even tho i live in a small town in the south, 80% of my driving is city, so the Tacoma is my choice. Just purchased the new model a few weeks ago.
Any issues with the rain sensing wipers? I had a Mazdaspeed3 and a CX-9, both worked great but there was a reset/fix where once a year (or so) i'd have to perform this "fix". Also, I just test drove a Honda Civic Type R (FL5) and what a blast it was to drive, but the lack of Rain Sensing Wipers and Lumbar support (i have back issues) has me leaning towards the Integra Type S. I've had cars with rain sensing wipers, and once you have them it's frustrating to drive w/o them!! Sounds silly, I know...
The mid-range in this car is its secret weapon. There are faster cars off the line but when you really get on it in mid-range, the weight becomes less of a factor because it's already in motion....and it moves. Regarding noise though, I disagree. My Performance Pack is a rather noisy vehicle. It has a lot of road noise and also has an on resonance and booming in the cabin over harsh roads...even with windows up. The interior air buffets a lot due to pressure changes from somewhere.
Great video! A concern is resale on a manual in a population where almost no one will know how to drive it, or enjoy it as you pointed out.) I like shifting so will likely buy a manual anyway. IMT'? Just don't turn it on.
I have a 370z nismo tech automatic and I love everything about my car would not trade it for nothing in the world it's a real sports car without turbos
Dude fell asleep, the car disabled FSD and came to a stop. Driver's fault. Nothing to do with FSD. Besides, create enough space to stop for cars in front of you.
Great question! Car has since needed a fuel pump/water pump, but other than that it was largely fine. Those are two costly repairs, but worth it for the experience it provides.
