Hi we're Tina and Jason from Sydney. We're currently attempting to travel around Australia by motorcycle on our trusty Royal Enfield Himalayans - Arnie and Franco. We are complete newbies to moto adventure riding and vlogging, but we thought it'd be an exciting and challenging way to explore our own back yard. Thanks for watching!
We're making these videos for a bit of fun and to have something to look back on and relive our glory days when we're old and grey.
Hi Tina and Jason, love your travels. Quick question for Tina regarding your Carberg modular helmet. Is it comfortable, do you find it a bit heavy etc. Would you recommend it? What do you like about it? Regards Barry
Hi Barry, to be honest I wouldn't recommend it. I found it quite heavy and my neck & shoulders were sore after a long day on the bike. Having a modular helmet though is useful so I would probably look for a light version for my next helmet. Cheerrs
Great content .... Thanks. I think you should have much more subscribers and "likes" . Consider asking the viewers to click the like button that way you will get more exposure. You deserve it.
Thanks Steve, that's awesome! We've been hanging to get to that footage too, it should start in 3 or 4 vlogs from now. We need to get to work lol. Cheers
Hi Les, life’s been a little hectic lately but we’re hoping to find some time soon to put the next vlog together. Thanks for checking in, it’s always nice to hear from you :-)
@@TinaandJason thank you, and no pressure. I'm sure you both have very busy and full lives to try and manage. I just really enjoyed following your relaxed and interesting vlogs. Ride safe always.
Just tuned into your vids and I’m loving them. I’ve traveled a lot of the country on motorcycle and it gives me a thrill to see you doing the same. The Darling river run (nsw) and outback S.A are my favourite places too ride. Al
We use methylated spirits in our Trangia spirit burner. We're thinking of switching to something that takes petrol as it can be hard to find metho in some places.
Stunning views of the Victorian coast and countryside thanks. As one with (just a little) OCD I can appreciate your fastidious nature, but four hours??? Also I think you were both little people once...
Just a question, do you have standard RE racks on your bikes, especially the rear rack, and also the RE rear box, have you had breakages of that rear rack, as I am in the middle of deciding to get the box, for my 2023 himi, but with the max the rack can take at 7kg, you guy's seem to have more weight on there.
Hi Ric, no we replaced the racks. We heard about them having issues so didn't want to risk it while travelling around Australia. We first bought some cheap ones off ebay which were a complete waste of money, they didn't fit. Then we decided to bite the bullet and buy the rear rack from hitchcock motorcycles The top boxes we use are the trekker outback from Givi. We carried a lot of weight in them at times and had no issues the whole trip with the racks. They cost more than we wanted to spend but glad we bought them in the end so we didn't have to worry about them breaking. Hope that helps :-)
haha yes lots of camera angles. It became a hobby on the trip and we're so glad now we've got them. It does make a difference with the end result. Thanks mate
Great videos and journey. I find it hilarious that the photographic camera somehow creates a negative vibe photographing 'sacred' places. No different to sketching a location but sketching and painting is perfectly alright. Anyway, can't wait for ayres rock to be opened again for climbing if that does ever occur.
Been enjoying watching you 2 grow confidence with each episode. My wife and I both ride motorcycles all over the US and Alaska. We have watched all the long way around videos as well.
Thanks Bill. It's crazy the difference a year can make that's for sure. We would loved to do a trip around the US, one day. We've re-watched them about 10 times, they never get old. Cheers :-)
Thanks Martin. Vietnam is on our list, we would loved to ride bottom to top there. Hopefully the conditions might be a little better by the time we get there lol
I like that you guys are able to hold up a fake image of joy among those flies. You’re probably not that happy, but stay cool for the camera anyway. Wrong season to travel there 🤷♂️
Haha here we were thinking we looked whingey so glad we came across happy. I guess you get comfortable with being uncomfortable on the road 🥵🥶😁 Cheers!
Hey Peter no worries, it's nothing exciting we have a small web development business and it's just the two of us so we can work anywhere as long as there's an internet connection. It can be stressful when unexpected things pop up but we love being able to work and travel. Cheers!
Enjoy watching your vlogs! It would be good to date stamp vlogs so people know when this happened. Especially when considering going travelling same locations 👍
@@wilso7235 Thank Vilso, we're glad you're enjoying them. Yes totally agree. We always put the film date in the description for the vlogs and we have started added the month/year at the start of the videos. Considering how long ago we filmed, we thought it best to start adding the date in as we were always complaining about petrol prices, which compared to today' petrol prices, they weren't that bad lol.
A really interesting place to ride....I heard that the flies can get enough of their buddies and can pick up a loaded bike and fly away with it....😁...great video.....sometime if you have a chance, put a night shot of the sky..for us city dwellers...thanks. Garth
Thanks Lincoln. The Himmies did a great job on our trip. They got us around Oz without any major issues other than just normal wear and tear. We had to get the steering head bearings replaced in Perth (I think we were at close to 30k then) but nothing else really. We put them in every 5k for a service and they’re still going strong. Jason’s bike Franco had issues with the battery right from the start, it would go flat after a week if we didn’t use him. But we just unplugged the battery if we knew we were pulling up for longer than a few days, easy work around.
7:30 The drone shots and the music were just perfect. 25:34 Those were union flies, they clock off no matter what 😂😂Always love to see an upload from you guys. Cheers.
See you had a police escourt out of Tennant Creek. They probably cant believe a set of travellers escaped unaffected. Its a shame these outback towns have so much crime. Must be a shocker for business and locals.
Yes it is a shame. In saying that though we never had any issue but we tried to avoid any unnecessary risks. Better to be safe than sorry I say. Cheers mate
@@TinaandJason it’s also interesting with places getting names. There’s a lot of exposed round rocks surrounding Tibooburra in nw NSW, they could have easily been called marbles as well. Depends who discovers them I guess
