@@KeithWheelerBooks not yet unfortunately. It seems that I've got some real person on my case but it's been a week and I haven't got any further answers. I also wrote letters to jeff.. and andy.. emails explaining the situation.
Yeah, I really like it, because it not only helps you pinpoint your search criteria but also, since it only shows you one freelancer at a time, it helps me to not be so overwhelmed with making a choice.
No worries. You didn't miss anything. I didn't mention it in this video. They're an internal ranking system. It basically means they've had a certain number of completed jobs with a high overall rating. So basically Level 2 sellers have worked on more projects than Level 1. To be honest, I don't really worry about their "Level" because they could be extremely experienced but just be new to the platform and therefore be labeled as New or Level 1. I hope this helps.
Hey Keith... Thanks for this helpful video... Quick question: How can I tell which of the clicks in my ad campaign has converted into a sale? Most of my sales are not shown in my ad campaign, so they're mostly organic... Monitoring the bsr is not a reliable way to know because sales can be delayed.
For organic sales or ones that came in AFTER the ad pixel is cleared, you can't really see which campaign helped with that. For those, it really comes down to knowing what your "normal" sales look like for your book and then any abnormal/increase in average sales that comes after you launch an ad can be attributed to that ad campaign and the added visibility it may bring in. Thanks for the tutorial. is it still valid? How I can create pdf book, as i have pdf of my word document into pdf. but I am not sure the page sizes i have to set. as It must be a standard page size and margin of pdf?
Yes this should still be relevant. Full disclosure, I don’t publish on Google play directly much anymore as I can do it all through Draft2Digital. But again this should still be relevant.
@@KeithWheelerBooks Moneyball involved looking at actual numbers rather than a gut feel for baseball players. In your video, you advocate looking at how big or small the category you’re competing in is, and also talk about addressing demographics.
From that point of view, I see exactly where you're coming from. Yes, I've always been a data-driven person, regardless of the situation. I've found, especially in business, I have much more success when I make my decisions based on data and not assumptions or emotions.
I dropped Mailerlite and decided to go with Substack. The problem was I lost all my followers on Mailerlite. I could have transferred them to Substack, but did not plan ahead. duh I am consistently posting every week at Substack. It's a slow growth, but it is good for my writing--a deadline every week. (the writer can choose when to post. It is not a rule you have to post every week.) I do not like having my readers required to sign up to Substack. I think that eliminates those who have enough mail in inboxes and do not want anymore. The one really downer on Substack is there are so many wonderful writers in all kinds of topics. I spend a lot more time reading their posts instead of writing! Your thoughts on Substack, please.
That’s interesting. I, personally, have no experience with substack, though I know others you love it. I do like your point that you use it as a sort of accountability mechanism.
I used AI to expand on my sentences. Some of the results were edited, but some weren't. Would that be assisted or generated? Also, if a tool flags my book as AI, would it be better to just check the box anyway?
It depends on what you mean by “expand on my sentences.” If you wrote a sentence and had ai help re-write that sentence, then that’s ai assisted because you used ai to enhance what you generated. If, however, you wrote a sentence and then used ai to create a paragraph using that sentence as a prompt, then that is ai generated, as your sentence was really just an ai prompt. If ai helped tweak what you already had (ie fixed spelling, grammar, re-worded what you wrote, etc) that’s ai assisted. If ai created/generated content that didn’t previously exist it’s ai generated content. It really comes down to the term “generated.” Who created the content, you or ai?

I completely understand the disappointment and frustration. I wish you the best of luck moving forward. Luckily there are other platforms that will still allow you to tap into the Amazon marketplace.
As a veteran of multiple newsletter email lists, I agree with all five points. I've always shown up as a personal human. I've also made the mistake of thinking I had to publish weekly. I did it for all of 2023 and it was exhausting! It actually kept me from completing my third book. Now, my challenge is consistency. I hope my current subscribers understand. LOL Great video, Keith!
I’m so glad you enjoyed it. My number one goal is to do everything in my power to help my viewers and students be as successful as possible. And in order to accomplish this, it means I have to be 100% real!
The number of pen names you're allowed to select now is either 5 or 7 depending on your region, and you can request more without needing to create more emails. Usually once you've requested for additional pen names, they automatically distribute them. You might have to wait, though.
Depending on the page count you’re interested in, comic books may be in the mix. But, as you’ve stated, if you’re not putting out this type of book, they’re not really a competitor, therefore making your competitor pool even smaller. Also, keep in mind, this is not a category you can put your book in(Amazon decides whether or not to put you here), so you assign yourself to other categories that your book relates to. This video was just to demonstrate that ‘short reads’ are still a viable option for book publishing.
So I just bought two author copies to send to my book buyers who bought in my sales funnel, but because of the way I have it priced on Amazon, it will actually be cheaper for me to buy the book on Amazon instead of buying author copies. Recommendations? Still go through with author copies or just buy and ship to their address using Amazon?

No, you’re allowed to buy a couple copies of your own book. Now, if you were buying hundreds of copies all at once, that might throw up a red flag. Glad I could help! 😊👍
@@KeithWheelerBooks Yeah it's just a few for now as it just launched, so buying a couple copies is good for now, or can it be a handful of copies every month and still be fine?
If you’re trying to get the word search generator, that’s the Instant Puzzle Generator (IPG) link and that seems to be working fine. If you’re trying to get the generator that does the crosswords and cryptograms, that’s Word Puzzles Generator (WPG) and that link seems to be having issues. I’m going to reach out to Niranjan, the creator, and see what’s going on with that link.
