Thank you for stopping by our site. We hope you enjoy what we have to say, and our perspective on travel and the experiences we get to have. We don't travel as much as many of the travel writers on the Internet (yet) since we are still working day jobs, but when we do travel we make a point of staying in family run hostels and pensions (guest houses).
We also come at this with a social conscience and endeavour to be conscientious tourists - ones that contribute to the communities we visit. We are always mindful of where we spend our money so that it is going back to the community we are visiting. That is the gist of our travels and site. Please check out www.peacefulnomads.com and on Facebook for more thoughts, photos and videos that will be posted as often as we can. Recommendations are based on our experiences only. Your experience will be unique. Welcome, and thanks for stopping by.
Thanks for the video, I am headed to Dublin next week for the first time. I hear the cliff walk trail is partly open now, you just can't walk all the way to Greystones so we are going to double back and have lunch in Bray.
You are making amazing video content. I just watched the video and your video quality is appreciable. I am so impressed by your content, I was analyzing your channel and noticed that You are struggling with video views and ranking. May I share some tips for achieving your goals?
Best deal in Waikiki. Always try to stay somewhere different but always end up at the Royal Grove. If you wonder about the hotel go to the top floor they got a penthouse thats rundown not being used. Wasn’t suppose to be up there sssshhhh lol
It's even better as a home base for the Dublin area IMO, although accommodations are somewhat scarce. Gives you a wonderful small-town-Ireland feel, even though it is so close to the big city. Also a very nice cliff walk if you have the time.
Thanks for that information David. We hadn't thought about staying in Howth before, but that would be a nice area to head back to after a day in Dublin. Haven't done the cliff walk there yet - next trip.
I went past this place today and was disturbed to see a flag representing a brutal settler-colonial apartheid regime displayed prominently out front. I’ll never recommend this place to anyone.
Great video! Always lovely to see the North Shore wilderness on RU-vid. Just perhaps something to consider for your future videos is balancing your audio as the music in this video is very loud. :)
Thanks for the feedback - it is a bit of a learning curve and I don't have that quite figured out, but am making it a priority. Thanks again for checking out the video.
Thanks so much for posting this very pleasant, easy to watch, and informative video. Honolulu used to be a refueling stop when I went home to visit family in Australia, during the several years I lived in New York, so I often spent a few days there. But that's a long time ago, and your video has made me want to return.
Thanks for the information, Lionel. We did not know that. When you Google it comes up with San Francisco and then Hawaii. Good to know - we'll check out the Philippines Chinatown. 👍
Hi ive binge watched all your hawaii videos. Thankyou for all the great info. Ill be going and staying at Royal grove in August so excited! I didnt realize all the free things to do, being on a budget, ill be utilizing your guys suggestions. Thankyou again. Cant wait to walk through the royal grove hotels door, its been a dream for years to stay there!
Thanks Lisa Marie - much appreciated. The Royal Grove is a lot of fun. Great staff and has a community feel. The Hawaii Marketplace on Kuhio (about 8 minute walk from Royal Grove) is the closest grocery store - a little pricey, but far cheaper than restaurants.
Hi thankyou so much for the tour, my daughter and I are staying here in a few months, I've been trying for years to do a trip here to this hotel, looks so relaxing, love the bird sounds, again thankyou we are so excited for our trip to the Royal Grove hotel.
For the water and walking around we have a GoPro 9 - the new 11 looks like it has a better mic, but also an extra $400. The 9 is doing most of what we want at the moment; great stabilization. Other footage with a Canon 80D with an external mic.
@@hawaiiguy1 We had a ball ! 15 days of Go Go Go ! There is plenty of good food to eat , loved the food trucks. Really enjoyed Seven Brothers , Paniola Burger , Jenny’s Shrimp Truck.. We did a day trip to the Big Island on Hilo side and loved it. Drove from Akaka Falls to Punalu’u Bakery and back up to Kilauea. Lanikai Beach was our favourite and the handmade Malasadas from Agnes Portuguese Bake Shop (food truck) in Kailua. Your Bus system is excellent. Easy to get around. We did have a Mustang for two days (typical tourist ..LOL) and split the island over two days , up the east side 1 day and through the middle to the north shore 2nd day. It was well worth the 11 months of planning. If we come back , it will be a more relaxed holiday ✈️
@@blahblah8372 i did stay there for 3 nights, it was ok, i did rent out the locker downstairs, the breakfast was at 7am, and tours start at 7am, so i wasnt able to have their breakfast, thats the only downside i had.
Did you get a chance to check out the National Leprechaun Museum, at Jarvis, across the Liffey from Temple Bar? It is a Grand little place. I was there was n May and June.
