Two things:1) hats off to a couple of kids with less than 800 subscribers being able to talk dealers into letting them drive/launch/ream-out Cars that cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. 2) The regulators need to stop the car companies from cheaping-out and using an iPad to access all the controls. It’s a distraction and it will cause distractions that lead to accidents. Practically no one is asking for this nor wants it. People want physical buttons for commonly used controls that we can reach and use without looking or with a quick glance.

I love this car, but every time I sit in one it feels massive. I have test driven a regular V twice and it does not really shrink around you like I had hoped, it still feels massive. Bigger than my old Chevy (Holden) SS

I remember when those 1989 Turbo V6 T/As came out. A friend of my cousin had a brand new one (late spring or early summer 1989) and that car was incredibly quick for the time. It was so badass! I think they were all actually indy pace cars, but the pace car decals came inside the car and not factory installed. At least thats how the one in my story came. So it was a dealer or self install feature. Forgive me if that is incorrect, but that is my memory of it from 35 years ago. They would usually run mid to high 13s or very low 14s (typically with a young inexperienced driver) at the local drag strip in stock form. I remember one magazine supposedly getting 13.40s out of their test car, but it may have been tweaked. Remember, this is at a time when a mid 14 second car was considered a quick car. I remember the new Mustang LX/GTs and 350 5.7l Z28/Trans Ams running low 15s in stock trim. I know the Buick GNs were fast too, but the Turbo Trans Am was more of a sleeper! I had a 1972 Corvette small block 4 speed back then, and it ran pretty consistent 13.30-13.40 quarter mile times on the motor. I still had many a turbo buick on stock appearing tires have my lunch! Those were the salad days man........ But anyway, the 89 turbo T/A pace cars were beasts!

FYI the rear seats fold down and make plenty of room for golf clubs. Unfortunately due to manufacturing issues none of the first models hitting the US have them, but the 4-seaters should start trickling in soon. Definitely only useful for kids in terms of actually riding in them, but I think they are worth it for the extra storage alone.

For every atmosphere of boost (14.7psi), in theory the engine displacement doubles-- 7.6 liters or about 464ci for that compact 3.8. By the way that 8-18 volt gauge is the battery; boost is 0-20psi gauge...

How are you going to compare a Corolla to a Porsche??? Also you failed to mention the braking power difference that the 4S has compared to the base models since the 4S has the turbo brakes and suspension set up. I think you need to do more of a deep dive on your car reviews than just reactions if you want to at least get a 1,000 subscribers. ..

Reviewers take different elements that they want to mention for their cars. Not every video has to be a documentary about every minute detail. If I wanted that I'd read a wikipedia page, and NEVER watch (Jeremy Clarkson) Top Gear as according to you, it doesn't offer sort of deep dive and they just do "stupid shenanigan's." every episode. Also, not every reviewer has had the chance to drive both a GR Corolla and a Porsche 996.2 Carrera 4s in back to back reviews, how can you not help but compare the two when they have been back to back reviewed. There is not a single reviewer out there has made that kind of comparison before and that kind of uniqueness is what's needed to stand out.

@@Electronica27 the point is the content creator stated miss information. Why you think my username is “stop capping 911” cause content like this and your comment is all cap 🧢. Do more research first to enlighten viewers what makes the 996 special! Not just talk about the obvious of what the car looks and comes with. The guy in the plaid shirt has a bright future making content as he stated the first obvious advantage of the 996 which is how direct the steering is. Once again stop the cap on commenting on my response to the video when I actually own this model.

Y’all got a lot of miss information on this review. The 996 debuted from 1998 - 2005 😬
@manual-motion
@manual-motion Месяц назад
Um, actually 🤓 the 996 production run was from July of 1997 to 2006 (if you count the production of the GT models). Either way, I did get it slightly wrong saying 97-05, but 98-05 is also wrong ;) either way, we really appreciate you comment and for you keeping us honest! You mentioned we got a lot of things incorrect, what were some of the other ones?

@@manual-motion we are taking US models here so I’m not wrong. I have own these cars for many years and I’m a PCA member. Please know your facts before you want to correct others 🤓. one thing i can't stand (on almost every modern car) is that I can tell by you sitting in the passenger seat that the dash is literally up to your EYEBALLS... you can't see and enjoy any of the speed sensation of the ground rushing beneath you out of the front window. this is something modern cars have lost which is why older cars are becoming valuable. In a 1990s Celica GT four you can see above the dash and can actually feel the speed. In an MR2 you are literally sitting in front row seats on the roller coaster with a lack of a long hood you can see straight down to the action right in front of you. This sensation is irreplaceable. I wish the buraucracy of modern cars didn't get in the way. Only one ICE company I know are building cars like they were in the 90s, and that's Subaru (except the BRZ/86 which is also too many blind spots).

We Germans have Rednecks, but they don't have nearly enough money to afford an C63. Not even any Mercedes to be honest. Our Rednecks drive Volkswagen Golf and Passat. We don't have that big engine culture like in the US. Our gas prices are ridiculous, so V8s are toys reserved for company bosses and pimps. Rarely do you find everyday 9 to 5 workers driving V8s (I will be one of them soon with an W211 E500).
