I’m Billy and I make cool stuff. This channel is devoted to making scroll saw art. I also have my main channel that shows how to build all kinds of things. Sometimes, it’s something I need like tool storage ideas. Other times it’s silly or nerdy stuff that I want to build. If you want to get ideas for making stuff, or just want to watch something entertaining then make sure you subscribe.

You can get the contact paper at the Dollar store making it even more economical than the painter’s tape by far.

I wished I seen your technique literally a few days ago. I needed to get back to the shop after some time off from the hobby and settled on a simple intarsia. The way you cut the scrap, and saved it to help you line up your pieces, would have helped me on my project. The pattern I used had thick black lines. I will consider this next time.

Dude, you could just use aluminum for the swords. If it’s thin enough, you can cut it with a scroll saw. It’s tuff, but doable. That being said, this was astonishing work!

Great idea. Maybe in the future I'll make a mixed media project.
@nathanlee6011
@nathanlee6011 Месяц назад
@@NewtonMakesArt you can use a very thin aluminum. Soda can might work well. You’d probably need to laminate it to a substrate of some kind, but it would be much easier to cut.

"All I have to do is cut two parallel lines" 😂 I find straight lines to be the absolute hardest cut to make on a scroll saw because any little wiggle is immediately noticeable as opposed to cuts that turn. Absolutely amazing work!

You might also consider epoxy, colored in different tones or colors, either to fill in tight spaces or account for difficult colors to find. Also stained glass or stained glass designing practices.
@peakflow1169
@peakflow1169 Месяц назад
I think using epoxy and colored tones could definitely make it more colorful and closer to actual drawing! However, the use of natural wood colors alone takes this from a really cool piece of art to an extraordinary one.
