Dramatically improved by Tom. The first few weeks when I saw him, he was out of time, poor weak vocals. I can confidently say, he's stepped up massively. Bravo Tom on your redemption!
stunning and as I've seen this show since the first Saturday at the Apollo and many other productions including Bochum this lad is simply the best of all great voice and great artist as he was always in the role , loved it
Spoilers up ahead! You are actually both wrong. Porter and Lumber are Slick’s henchmen but they aren’t antagonistic to Rusty. As for the thumbnail, it actually takes place during Wide Smile, High Style itself. Freight involves the fuel cars having their own fuel cans and Hydra is included in it.
Defiantly, I think nerves got the better of them during previews. Its amazing what a month can do. They also looked more confident skating as well. I mean it must of been nerve racking especially with ex Bochum performers in the cast.
Fantastic performamce, bit i do miss the robotic voice manipulations from previous versions. Its one of the features of this song that makes ot otherwordly and unusual for a musical. Thats been completely removed here which is a shame. It sounds too human.
Its prolly the best version ive heard (official, bootleg or cover) since the 84 OLC recording. However, it just doesn't privide that vety robotic snd dark feel.
@@danteorfei4815 Don't worry, that's covered by the visuals. This is the outstanding moment of visual effects design in the show, the whole place becomes this weird microchip universe
I’m very sad to see the Mohawk and red and blue colour scheme go… Electra is David Bowie coded to the nth power, so you could at least make them look like David Bowie in train form.
@@iamelectric8525 I think they're referring to one of the original storylines for StEx, where it was set in a Cinderella universe with the characters being trains and the prince was holding a contest to see what engine would pull the royal train across the United States :) that storyline wasn't used of course, but it was an inspiration
As much as I like that song, something very unpleasant occurred during this number on opening night. When me and my family were watching this, there was an elderly man struggling to get for some reason. Then he collapsed. My aunt screamed for help and the show had to pause at that number. It wasn’t cancelled but I hope that man is alright. My condolences go to him and his family.
If y’all hear any insanely high notes (that aren’t synth notes/run through a pitch shifter), you are hearing Sarah Brightman, who (at the time) was Mrs. Andrew Lloyd Webber and one of the OG London cast members of Cats.
