Do you happen to have more songs from the 1984 London Previews? It's interesting to hear how different this song sounds compared to how it is on the cast album.
I don't think there is one unfortunately. It was only in the show for a limited time and then they took it out for Make Up My Heart. The only London bootleg I have is 1988 and by that point it was replaced. I think the workshop might have it so I will have a look.
@@iamelectric8525 Did this turn out to be true? I'm forever fascinated with this song because of how it's clearly the best use of the Engine of Love tune, but they seem to have disliked it - plus on the album it doesn't sound convincingly like it's of a piece with the rest of the album (and has a separate producer credit iirc?), so I always wondered if it was a remix and in the show it was always the New Starlight slow version. Apparently not!
@@DemonTomatoDave The version that's on the original album was the single version that was released and is slightly sped up and also has different lyrics which you can hear on this recording. And yes it was remixed and sounds different to how it was presented in the show and fades out instead of ending as it does here.
