My name is Surbhi Sharma and I am a certified Registered Yoga Alliance Instructor (RYT 500 hrs). The Goal of my Channel is to tell you tips and tricks that many Yoga teachers know but somehow in class settings they do not get conveyed to the students. Everyone would do so much better only if they knew what yoga teachers know. I have been a yoga student for many years, but I did not see as much difference in my practice as I did after becoming a teacher. I was surprised to see the deep knowledge that yoga teachers gain. The little twitches and shift of breath that makes the world of a difference. I am using this platform to educate people on those tips and tricks, so they can also get the maximum benefit from yoga. I would like to show my RU-vid family how accuracy is more important than flexibility, how a little twist of breath can increase the benefit of a particular posture. I hope I am successful in making the world a healthy and peaceful place, one person at a time.
I have so much gratitude to have discovered you, practice your teachings has immediately decreased by anxietey levels. Much love on my part to you and your selfless dedication to all of us.💌
I have been doing this daily for Shambavi since April. I have been doing it wrong and I've been having hip pain. Thank you for your simple explanation of the practice. I'm going to do it a little slower and hopefully the pain will subside.
1) active exhale 3 min 2) active inhale and exhale 3 min 3) vishnu mudra, start with left nostril. Inhale left, close left, exhale right inhale right close right exhale left= 1 round Breathing so quiet feather underneath ur nose can't hear. Exhale longer than inhale 4) brahmari: combines breath with sound which has vibration. Last one to do. Close all our senses and only breathe from nose. Exhale witj nose
It happens if you put extra force to construct the throat. Try gently placing your tongue behind the upper teeth and relax like that. Don't contract your throat muscles too much.
Practice some core strengthening exercises. Do vipreetkarni daily for 5-10 min. You might find this video helpful ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9sw30mql6Sw.html Vipreetkarni is also shown in this video at the end.

It is a very good question and I would love to explain it in a separate video. But it will take some time, as I am running a one woman show here along with other responsibilities. @@NamasteYoga333 thank you so much! One only gets answers proportional to one’s questions. It is all there, better here, better all is. Easier to picture than experiencing.
Start slow. Start with Setubandhasana (bridge pose), Supt veerasana (reclining hero pose), and always counter it with either child's pose, downward facing dog, or shashankasana (frog pose).
Namaskaram! I still have doubts cause I am not smart 😅 Isha timings are “long” Ie: each position is held for a relatively long time. In the video it’s said to keep breathing while holding each position. Scenario: I am using the audio guide, which says when to switch to next position. What if while I am breathing (towards the end of a position) the audio tells me to switch, but I am at the beginning of the opposite breath (previous pose) and I’d suppose to start the opposite. Example: I’m holding the knee toward the forehead, hence I’ve finished exhaling. I can start inhaling to don’t hold the breath (as instructed in this video). What if while I’m still inhaling, the audio says to switch to next position, which require me to start exhaling? Thanks for sharing! ❤
Always follow the breath pattern to go in and out of the pose. Yes, while in the pose you should keep breathing. Now how to follow it with the audio: if Isha has provided you with the audio, then I suggest you contact them to answer this question.
I am truly grateful that I have found your channel, I have been wanting to learn more practices to aid my spirituality and I am new to Yoga so this is perfect for me. I just viewed your channel and the content within. I can see that those I came across were all from 3 years ago. I am truly grateful you took the time to help explain, it is helping me as I am certain it will help others with the same curiosity and not knowing where to find this type of knowledge! Thank you, thank you, thank you. I am truly grateful and send much love! ❤❤❤
This was exactly what I have been looking for and that is the explanation and why we do it to activate chakras, it makes so much sense and I am truly grateful that you shared your knowledge. Can you explain why Yoga, and other similar modalities are activating in our bodies and how they help the flow of energy through our bodies. I am so grateful to come across this although it was from 3 years ago. ❤❤❤
You have asked me a very loaded question. In simple words all I can say is yogasanas and pranayamas (breathing exerciss) help activate the flow of prana in our body. It increases the prana we inhale with our breath and helps to reach every single cell in our body. Opening and activate the chakras, so prana can move freely and rejuvenate our body and mind. The explanation goes way deeper than this though.
