Not exactly as deep as I thought it could go but well done. I'm kind of surprised to find I didn't know at least five of these things. Still, there were certainly things that seemed a bit out of order such as Linux From Scratch. Most would advice using Gentoo first as it has better tooling for getting up and running while doing pretty much the exact same thing with compiling from source. Linux From Scratch is pretty much only to really learn the operating system and maybe use for a couple weeks to a month before going to something that just works and has better tooling for maintenance such as Gentoo. Then there's the declarative distros like NixOS or Guix which have their own difficulties and learning curve separate from a normal Linux system.
Maybe don’t animate-zoom the screenshot images such that the top bar area you’re describing slides out of view while you’re talking about it (otherwise, I like the content)
You can use Adw-gtk3 to make gtk3 match gtk4, but apps need to support rounded corners for that to be enabled. There is likely a flag, but each app can also customise the Gtk CSS to add/hide the corners. Gnome-tweaks is not an extension but it is a setting you enable in config to enable minimise maximise. Tiling assistant extension works, but not sure if they will add corner dragging.
is there something about lost beta versions like windows 1.0 comdex demo, interface manager version or windows 95 usability test from late 1993 where only thing remained from this is one recording in low quality probably from december 1993
@@byteseb about windows 1.0 lost betas, there's some information on betawiki (from that comdex demo probably from 1983 as i remember, only various photos remain and it never has been released publicly) microsoft interface manager was like raw add-on for msdos but they changed name to windows and windows 95 usability tests was some very early chicago betas maybe
odysee is really the best alternative to be honest, it's REALLY easy to use, no demonitizing so that you can express yourself without being afraid ONE SINGULAR FUCK will make you get payed 99.9% percent less , we just need MORE content creators to sync up their account!
Bottom most would be something like DRM, KMS, ALSA, V4L2, mm, genpd, pm_domain, kmem_cache_create, 2G-2G splits, ___pfx_*, ##, HEPT, hit by stinky trouts…
macOS is really made to use the Magic Trackpad, the experience improves A LOT. The zoom/maximize action can be done double clicking in the title bar instead of option+click the green button. Regarding the red button to close window/app, I don’t think it’s “inconsistent”, it’s just the way the app is programmed: if the app supports multiple windows (like a browser or Finder), then the app remains opened in the background (because of the developers decision to do so), if the app doesn’t support multiple windows (like the App Store), then there’s no point in keeping it opened.
Abby was innocent... That's a huge example of the famous Toxic crowd linux it's known of... :\ The vendors wanted to push her to linux, but went with the wrong approach. Also hell she needed windows, she can use windows! specially back then when nothing worked.
Wait…Linux is under GPL and ChromeOS uses a modified Gentoo (which has Linux). Meaning that their kernel for ChromeOS should be open source…but it’s not?
can they just make windows 7 with under the hood improvements and maybe keep some of the start features from 10 and tabs from 11. Go back the the original control panel, I don't need 2 places for settings!
