I also thought I had to get a fairing support but Steve from the Sik Baggers channel informed me that you in fact do not need a fairing support on the 14+ road glide. He mentions this in his road glide fairing 2” lowering kit video and again when he installs the burly brand crash bars like this. I just got the same bars you did off of eBay with red accents and black rollers for $445 for both front and rear and have been running them without a fairing support bracket with no issues. That thing is going nowhere with how it is mounted to the frame. Thanks for the video!

A 3m wheel for drill works great also and won’t mar paint/clear if done right. It makes some dust but rips right through the stubborn tape or decals too.

@CodyMcDonald89 Thanks for watching and commenting. If you have the Stock headlight...the Shark Demon will be much brighter. If you look at the lumens alone on both...you will be shocked at how much more output the Shark Demon puts out as compared to stock HD headlights...it's really no comparison. Another option is the Custom Dynamics Adaptive LED headlight. I also did a video on it comparing to the stock HD led daymaker and adaptive headlight on the CVO. Again big increase in lumen out put on the Custom Dynamics and the color temp is very white light giving a much brighter view. If you are already a subscriber to the channel...thank you. Since i couldn’t find a video on a Stage 2 462 power cam on a 117, I’ll comment here. I just got my 22 SGST back from Thunderbird Harley Davidson after having them do the stage 2. And yes, the juice is worth the squeeze. Especially for my style of riding. I ride a lot of back roads here in NM and mountain roads here and in CO and AZ. Sometimes solo and sometimes with my honey. It’s definitely a noticeable difference. And the sound of the cam sounds great with the V&H header coupled with my Tab 50 cal mufflers. I can’t speak about reliability obviously because I’ve only put about 500 miles on it, but it is covered under the HD warranty so I’m not worried about it. I’m not sure what the HP rating was from the factory, but the Dyno says it’s got 103 HP now at its peak at 5400 rpm.
@Elkslaya1 Thanks for watching and commenting. I really appreciate you sharing your experience with the SE8 462 cam. I have been thinking about have that cam put on my 2023 Street Glide ST but like you mentioned, it's difficult to find much info on real world use of that cam. I have looked at HD s torque and HP curves for that cam on a 117 and it looks good, but, it seems not many people go that route. But as you state, that is Harleys Stage 2 cam for a 117 engine. Thank you! you are so right about the lead time on the rear bars from HD. Early April of 24 I ordered a set, said May 1st, That came around said June, possibly July, spoke with the PM and stated it could be August or later, so I canceled. I went with an aftermarket company, paid too much but I got the rear set in like two weeks. They look good, however when I change out the compact front engine guard I'm going your route. Thank you!

I installed mine and I had the same issue with the instructions, garbage. I would have like to see more of the actual headlights being installed. I had some difficulty placing them by myself, I think it would be wise to have a second pair of hands to assist.

Do not buy these. Three weld angles were off on both sides. Returning them and buying the name brand instead. This is what happens when trying to save some money. Spend the money on good ones.
Thanks for watching and commenting. I covered that in the video and shared the info with the company. If it is the brand I noted in the video, the correction was made and all fit perfect as shown in the video. Thanks for your support and ride safe. ✌️👊👍
You turned the ignition on then pulled the main fuse. Then shut the ignition off. Other youtube videos show just pulling the main fuse without the process you went thru. Explain your reasoning for this. Is there something I am missing?
Thanks for watching and commenting. I'm not sure what you are referring to in this video. I do not believe I ever pulled that main fuse in this video. In this video I just installed the security siren, showed how it screams and brought the FOB to the bike to have the scream turn off. If you are already a subscriber to the channel...thank you. Thanks for watching and commenting. The Carplay version will work on the 2024s. The android version will not. However, I recently put out another video on the Ottocast Play2video pro adaptor. That adaptor will allow you to get Android Auto on the 2024s. I'd suggest you check that video out. I understand and appreciate the different options for my 2021 CVO Road Glide but I like the mustache bars with my highway pegs. The back end bag protectors look ok but I don’t like that front end look. To each their own! Good info Rick👍🏼 Thank you.
Thanks for watching and commenting. No place for highway pegs on the bars. If going with this style of bar, frame mounted highway pegs is the way to go. Ride safe and enjoy. ✌️👊👍

I do have Custom Dynamics fog lamps on the bike. I do have a video on installing those as well. I recently switched out the lenses from white to yellow to give better visibility in fog conditions. You can find that video in the Custom Dynamics playlist.
Thanks for watching and commenting. These are definitely a change from the long time hoop saddlebag guards. You see these more in the performance bagger scene. You definitely see it when riding with them. I did my best to compare to stock but it's often difficult to get the camera to show the difference. Thanks for watching and commenting. I'm not familiar with that particular headlight. My caution would be to check if it's DOT approved. The Shark Demon headlights are the brightest that they can be while still being DOT compliant. Many of the others are not DOT compliant and draw more amperage than the bikes can handle over the long term.
I know for a fact that the Baja lights are not compliant or not DOT…. And as far as the Denali destroyers…. not sure on those yet either but there’s a video out there on it. I think it just came out.

Thanks for watching, commenting, and subscribing. That is a great question that I will answer in this Friday's video. They do make the front flat out crash bar and I do believe it will work with the CVO style lower spoiler. So stay tuned...the video will be released tomorrow at 5pm Central along with links to the front crash bar. Thanks for your support and ride safe. ✌️👊👍
I have these on my bike had them for over a year but I placed them upon watching a video where they should be. I still don't know if they are in right exact position. I've read per instructions you have to lay the bike down gently to see if the drop guards are in the right place. I have a 22 road glide special the same chop guard you have yours . Your location looks high. I don't know if the road glide and street glide are at the same height but I think the street glide is slightly higher.
Thanks for watching and commenting. The drop guards need to be at a level where the bottom portion will hit the ground. They do look high but take it from my experience, they are at the correct level. If you are already a subscriber to the channel...thank you. TABS for the all-out win! The Rineharts do have a great, deep growl, but the TABS are real head turners when they hear you taking off...speaking from experience!

have you had anyone mention about the comfort of the step up rear seat on the tuck and roll. After your review of all the seats, I think I am going to go with the step up. Really looking for the comfort for me and my passenger for some longer duration rides.
Thanks for the question. The tour step up with Tuck and Roll is a very comfortable seat and will give your passenger more pillion space that the regular step up seat. However, the pillion area is definitely much small that that on the Road Sofa...which is probably the most comfortable seat for a passenger. If you go with the tour step up Tuck and roll...this will also have the GelCore for the passenger. The tour step up Tuck and Roll is a great looking seat and still giving longer distance riding confort for both rider and passenger. If you order direct from Saddlemen you can pick stitch colors and a few other options to have it custom built for you.

Is this the same measurements for all years of tour packs? The reason I ask is I'm building one now like yours and when I measured the distance front to back on the quick disconnect on my 06 it looks to be 5 in. Thanks for any help!!!
Thanks for watching and commenting. The measurements in this video would be for 2014 to 2024 tour pack brackets. The pre 2014 measurements will definitely be slightly different. So definitely gp with what you measured. If you are already a subscriber to the channel...thank you. If you haven't yet subscribed to the channel I'd be honored if you'd consider doing so. Thanks for watching and commenting. The 13s give you more travel. You set the preload with you on it at 12 inch center bolt to bolt. If you get 12s, you set them at 11 1/2 center bolt to bolt. So if you go 12s it will actually sit lower than stock. Hope that helps. If you are already a subscriber to the channel...thank you.
