I am a web technologist, Linux and open source aficionado, and all-around tech guy looking to share his thoughts and tips on technology. I prefer making short videos that focus on a single topic or streaming so I can interact with viewers in real time. Isn't technology great?
You just saved my 6 month old arch install. Failed to boot after editing a file while following a GPU overclocking guide and I was able to remove the edit and reboot and it fired right up! Just earned a new subscriber!
Hello, could you help me solve this error that I get when starting Arch after installing it (i.e. first start) file /boot/initramfs-linux.img not found I am a new Arch user, I use Debian as my main OS, but Arch has always made me curious and I like to learn.... Greetings from Colombia
I was searching for a real grub rescue or install or what not. You did not break anything in the manner that break really means. You simply renamed an already existing file, very safely, and also very safely left it where it's at. That way it's easy to find and rename back to its "safe" working order. Try like, something like when the file does not exist. At all. ...but the video was fun to watch anyway. Intertaining. Made me forget that I have an install to rescue, or re-install. That's it. ;)
the current official newest version of arch is no longer a live cd, just an install one. Pretty sure mine was live back in 2020 or so. That's annoying. Guess I will have to get an older one or something. My install lost it's boot link during Syu, 3 years behind on updates since I hadn't really used it in that long.
how to access wp-content/languages folder in the command line and typing a command? anyone knows how ? i installed wp through bluhost and need to access the command line in the file manager thanks!
I am trying to save my 6 years old install using this method, but there is one thing going wrong. I'm receiving the message "/mnt/boot: mount point does not exist"... But it does appear when I do the command to find the disks... What can be wrong? I used an Ubuntu live USB and my SSD card is there, the files are there... I am desperate!
correction! my misstake i was accessing to my local computer cups server LOL, classic error, i did a port forwarded to the remote server on port 632, but for some reason i was doing localhost:631 XD. thanks mate. all good now.
have a folder containing about 500 .aup3 files with beats are marked. I could export the labels and get the .txt file containing annotations for a single .aup3 file but I have got so many.. so do you possibly know any way to do it in a single go? exporting labels for each file is too tedious..
I think you need to update your video if ya haven't already. I think it's dumb that Audacity has to change everything, so following these instructions along with many other older videos doesn't really help ya out too much anymore, but i did find another way that worked in the updated version of Audacity. I hit the edit tab, then Preferences, then i clicked to the right, not the tabs below, but under where it says interface it says playback device, this was set to speakers, and i just changed it to Realtech HD audio 2nd output
Sir, when i try to connect to the internet using iwctl then device list, it shows no devices, even station list shows nothing, can you make a video about this ? And about how to install wireless drivers on arch linux
Sorry but you’ve wasted your time, your video isn’t helpful 😢 You don’t explain how to deal with this error: “the end point of the cut is not on a keyframe. Video saved in copy mode will be corrupted at this point.”
I honestly don't think he has any social media presence. I have one email address for him and that's it. I'll let him know you're trying to get in touch with him.
Thanks, major frustration with this issue. It flips between my headphones and the speakers. I don't get a choice between speakers and headphones in preferences?
I was really wondering why the settings option for ubuntu-dock isn't available on either gnome-shell-extensions or gnome-tweaks! Brutal! I don't like dash-to-dock, so I wanted to keep the standard ubuntu-dock, but I wanted it to match my theme's titlebar colour. So I had to change the colour under the dash-to-dock settings, even though I have dash-to-dock deactivated and ubuntu-dock activated. Still works! The hex code for the titlebar is located at ~/.themes/theme/gtk-3.0/gtk.css under "background-color", in my case "#1e222a". I just set "#1e222a" as the custom color in the dash-to-dock config menu, and ubuntu-dock color now matches my theme. Painful, but it twerks.
That makes sense. D2D and Ubuntu Dock are essentially the same thing so configuration options are stored in the same place. Editing the options via D2D is probably easier than dconf-editor overall. Thanks for the tip!
Thank you!!! Frankly speaking I can't understand the AUdacity Macro Manual for how to amplify many mp3 files at once in audacity ^^ Your video tells me the great solution very easily!!
