i think pre alpha to alpha 1 the game got better then alpha 1 to alpha 4 the game got much worse then alpha 4 to the full release the game just got slightly better, not anything drastic. so the game was basically at it's worse point in alpha 4.
I don’t care what anyone says removing variants killed the garden warfare franchise it’s what made the games fun and unique even if they just kept all the recent variants and then just made some for the new characters I don’t think anyone would have minded that because it will get to a point where there’s so many variants you either make packs super affordable but make rarities more rare or just make less but flat out removing it is insane also locking 3 characters behind a pay wall is crazy why can’t I play the control class unless I spend 30$?
The reason i enjoy this game is because i love to play around with the janky physics, set up challenges for myself, and play mods. Not necessarily completing the puzzles and finish the game. (Also side note): Dynamic Pixels is not the reason for the game's decline, Tinybuild, being the publisher, wanted the game to be successful, (which meant having their demographic be mostly kids). However, Dynamic Pixels' original Hello Neighbor concept, in Tinybuild's eyes was "ToO ScArY" for kids (evident by the Pre-Alpha and Alpha 1 builds of the game). So they incorporated the newer, more polygonal, and less scary art style. They also released this build only a few months after the betas meaning the release was VERY rushed. Needless to say, we can thank tinybuild for making the game a platformer. *also sorry for the long comment
I played Jetpack Joyride on my Amazon Torch Tablet, which had a kids mode with no adds or purchases. When a game has an in game purchase it would give it to you for free… let’s just say Jetpack Joyride was Joyful…
if anyone sees this, log on gw2 on September 14th for a community day! There’s not some special event going on for rewards, it’s just a day to have fun and play. This is also an attempt for player numbers go up to show the community manager that we really want gw2 to thrive again
I have to say, gw2 is probably one of the most fun/best games, if not the best, game I’ve ever played. There’s just so much memories of having so much fun in any game I’ve ever played. It still hurts to see one of my favorite franchises fall to corporate greed.
Pay to win: The ability in any game to PAY any amount for any amount of ADVANTAGE. Pay a million bucks for 10 exp? STILL pay to win. Certainly there's a sliding scale of how disgusting the level of pay to win can get, but if you can buy literally ANY advantage for real money- that's pay to win. Period. How much pay to win you can tolerate surely varies just as much as there are people on earth. For me, I just don't really like it at all. It leans too much into whalebait territory- and I consider that one of the major poisons of the gaming industry.
PvZ garden warfare 2 revival day is September 14th, everyone should play that day so we can break the steam 24hr player count record and hopefully get the game revived! The more ya know ❤
2:29:42 just about this whole segment. Wow who would have known. Popcap was the people that put micro transactions in the game but it was to please EA, again who could have guessed.
PopCap: "We want to stay away from monetization and have job security." Also PopCap: *Sells to EA.* There is possibly not a worse decision you could have made to achieve those two things.

It’s late 2024 and the PS3 variant of the original Garden Warfare still has consistent players. The PS3 version! Cross platform play did not exist with that console
