Hi Elaine very nice apples , good job you protected your beans and squash as we had a frost 2 days ago 😮. Didn't get my sspc luckily 😊. I didn't want a Yorkie but we had to rescue one and now i love them, one day I will get another but not while there's a cat here 😂. That's a great savoy and weapon 😂. Awesome potatoes too, I'm looking forward to trying some red potatoes 😊👌👍 amazing overall harvest 💪

That’s a great idea with the guttering Elaine, something along those lines would work well along one of my fences. I do all my filming/editing on my phone and use the capcut app, it’s free,easy to use and there’s loads of good tutorials on RU-vid on how to get started, Hope that’s of some help to you, I think you can get it for laptops as well. 🎬📽️👍

Elaine you have some great looking cabbages there👍 well done rescuing your tomatoes,blight is a real pain,I made a video a month back about blight as I felt it would appear this year.I add a few apples or bananas to help ripen tomatoes ,🍅 take care with the knife 😂😂👍🍅
@GanggangPeanut I will be spreading them out in the sun together with ripe tomatoes but I will take your advice with the apples and bananas. Anything to bring them on. II'll take it slow with that knife, when I'm cutting the cabbage 👋😁👍🍅🍅🍅
@traceysallotment2506 Thanks Tracey. I've been keeping a close eye on them. There's been a few damp nights which have brought it on. The tomatoes will soon ripen off. It's always a gamble. One year, I had none, so I've spread my bets across the plots and greenhouses. Good on you to take them now xx

@@allotmentjoy I pierced my hand with my fork a couple of years ago trying to dig out raspberries 😭🤣, I showed it on a video near Halloween in my first year on the plot. Fork went through the skin between my thumb and finger😁👌👍
I think a couple of my stems went like that and i didnt know of it was blight or what. What the heck month 😂 bloody love it. 😂😂😂 iv got the bloody same cosmos and its the same. Mind you mine self seeded and wow we got loads pop up themselves. Wowzer look at that pumpkin. Ilove growing them byt dont eat them 😂 i give some to my local youth club for the kids to paint or carve just an idea
@traceysallotment2506 Yep, it's time to throw caution to the wind and take a punt on anything. You kind of feel sorry for the tomato plants, but it's time they hurry up and ripen. The quicker they are out of the garden, the less chance of getting blight. The funny thing about my cosmos, I planted them in bunches. I saw a vid about cutting the stems so they create side shoots, I'm soooo glad I didn't door that. I'd be using a machete to cut my way through the garden laugh. The pumpkin loves a bit of Tomorite tomato feed. I'm going to give the smaller squash a go in a casserole x🍅🌼🌼🌸🌸🍅🌱🌱

What the heck month 😂. I’m always doing what the heck month it’s just sow and see what grows 👍👍. Perhaps they are child’s turbans 😂. I’m finally getting a few ripe tomatoes 🍅 but still mostly cherry. 😢Hope you get yours all harvested before the dreaded blight gets around. I’m picking up some newspapers today to wrap my big ones if they don’t ripen soon as mornings are getting cold and frosty (we had fog yesterday). The thing with tomatoes (I had this last year) you panic, thinking they won't ripen but all of the sudden....🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅 I checked today and there is no spread so I'm hoping it's just the plant throwing a hissy fit because it's branch got cut off laugh. First time i have done kalibros and totally agree i am not keen and wont be doing them next year will be doing the ball ones again. Iv got a grape vine in my garden but not had grapes as yet. The wind has been awful !! Im going to do my potato reveal and tidy the back garden today before the rain arrives about 2pm.
@traceysallotment2506 I find the bees like the open dahlias the best. I'm watching a bee trying a crash landing on one of the tall sunflowers. The wind is blowing them about a bit laugh. Yes, deffo the round cabbages next year. Your grape will do okay outside. If it's a small plant, I'd put some fleece around it when it goes dormant. It will protect it from the elements. Elaine do you have storage for all your cabbage? I tried some this year and got 3 nice heads. Also do you know what I can do to keep my, celery from being bitter. Glad all is ok God bless

I'm going to freeze my cabbage (providing we have got enough space), make some sauerkraut (we've got the jar, just have to get on with it) and hand a couple away to a soup kitchen.
