As a diehard Alien fan, only the first two films are canon, the rest have been a dream sequence of Ripley, and then a dream sequence of Newt, and they've been in those pods for years now, just dreaming up nightmares.
I loved RoboCop as a kid. My dad took me to see R rated moves because he didn't want to go alone. I remember when I asked if my friend Fred could come along. My dad got into a huge argument with the teen in the box office about the definition of legal guardian. We were going to see Air America with Mel Gibson and RDJ.
RLM are more interested in being cynical because that's their shtick; not being actually involved in the movies they see. Rogue One is objectively good, not great, but it is good. Many of their commentaries honestly make me wonder if they've actually paid attention to the movies they are commenting on.

Ironically, if he had just written it into the script that johnny was on painkillers after being in a horrible accident, it would a. Make him infinitely more sympathetic, b. explain his weird speech, energy levels etc, and c. Explain why his girlfriend is disillusioned with the relationship

The police chief is the greatest character! His best line is when he’s really frustrated with Samurai Cop and says, “Everyday ends with a TUMS FESTIVAL!!” Best line in this movie….Samurai Cop.
this movie could have been good, the budget was there, if they didnt do the barbarian in another time trope, explained that this was a he man movie, and actually made the main character the main character.
The bad guy 'Blade' was the first time I ever saw someone dual wield swords. Blew my little mind when I saw it on home video (due to missing the brief theatrical release). Even as a child I was disappointed and bored by it, and I loved me some M.o.t.U
Only Blade, Saurod and Gwildor got toys in the 80's toyline. Karg and the black robot Trooper was planned in the 80s, but when the film bombed they didn't make any more of the movie characters.
When they mention Kyle Reece implanting a weapon in his abdomen and Rich says "I always think about that" I always wondered why skynet didn't just put living tissue skin over a phased plasma rifle in a 40 watt range, just like how the T-800 has skin over it so that he could take it with him. And imagine the horrible scene we could have had of a nude Arnold clutching something that looks like a child and a passerby sees him calmly just rip the fucking skin off of in and toss in on the ground before being terminated.
