After knocking off the rust, are you just putting the 3 in 1 oil on to help prevent further rusting? I can’t remember what space you’re in, you’re not in a garage right?. I.
Smart!!!! Have you ever used accomodating resistance (Bands) with this bar. I never have but I was wondering if you started the first workout with your 3 count method, then the next workout you used bands and alternate the 2 methods, seems like in a 2 month cycle of that, you would get crazy strong out of the hole and that would carry over throughout the entire rep. I've never had a cambered bar but then again I've never been a powerlifter, always been a bodybuilder. This bar looks to be a Great tool for gaining strength and it is sharp looking. I really believe in the Westside way for gaining strength and as you know they used a lot of bands and chains. I hate dealing with chains so I always was a band guy. Love your 3 count method though, I can see where it will work Great!!!!
@@michaelxz85 a couple of inches for sure. Definitely noticeable and a different kind of pump. It’s helped me build more power out of the hole. Do this once a week for a couple of months and then move back to a regular power bar and you absolutely explode out of the hole.
I have shoulderrok, duffalo (two), OG power bar, two versions of transformer and a boomstick. I've had issues with every order whether qc or insane shipping delay. I'll likely never order from them again, they were even late in their rebrand. Only way I get a kabuki product now is thru rogue if rogue already has the item in stock They're good products but the business is just terrible experience for the consumer. Please post rust removal video 👍
Oh man! You have the entire gamut of Kabuki products. Issues with every order is frustrating. I appreciate you sharing that. I’m gonna start working on the rust removal video asap! Thanks for watching.
Oh Gracious, that is bad. I get that this is one of their boneyard bars but no company should send one of their barbells out that looks like this unless they sell it at over 60%-75% off of the list price. I have heard a lot of bad things about Kabuki and this boneyard selection looks like you could get anything. Your first boneyard bar from them was Good, right, but this is unacceptable for any company. The things I heard about Kabuki must be true. You cannot send it back can you?? Sorry man
I think it is long overdue for consumers to push back against the QC of kabuki. It’s far too common to hear that they are great items, BUT they come with things like rust and blemishes. At their price points they have to do much better.
@@Garage_gym48 interesting. I feel spoiled living fairly close to where Kabuki is in Oregon. I’m in California so shipping is very inexpensive. What other barbell companies can you purchase from in Australia?
@@BrimhallBarbellClub we just have a company starting to stock Rep which is awesome. Rogue has a small footprint here but at least I got the SS OPB which I love. Eleiko as well but there stuff is about $1500 AU which is hard to justify if your not using it in competition. Still very minimal options compared to the USA.
Does the leg roller scratch the steel when you move it? Mine does, im not sure if it's factory defect or if I should loosen the bolts on the leg roller
I can't use bare steel. I lift in a building behind the house and bare steel would be too hard to deal with. I looked at the croc dumbbell handles and did I see that right $175 for the pair. I want a good pair of short dumbbell handles, the regular handles are entirely too big and long and you can't even curl with them but the short ones are for curls and shoulder work. Thnkx Man Take Care
This was a great build for 2k. Titan sure has some steals with the rack and rings. Instead of the belt I think I’d have gone for Rogue’s pull up package with a 40lb, 65lb and 95lb band for $71.
Any budget gym build that doesn't include rings would lose all credibility for me, nice save at the end! I'd find a way to squeeze resistance bands and lifting straps into the budget
A one count normally. I was doing touch and go here before four working sets of pause bench at RPE 8 X 4. I like to hit a heavy touch and go before my working pause bench sets. Gets my blood flowing.
I’m under 700. Squat rack and adjustable stand alone bench Weights off marketplace and you gotta keep cash in hand. Stuff goes quick Titan, yes 4 all for sure. Basement Home made a ball bearing cable setup and got an assortment of pull down accessories. Works great
I bought a $150 bench from amazon. Worst and only mistake I made in my budget gym. Benching is fine, but movements where I'm pulling load horizontally like cable rows or presses, the bench drags. It's a nightmare. I was completely short sighted and only thinking of benching when I bought it. You want a *heavy duty* bench. Something that weights enough and with no slack.
Well, I own the AB 3000. It was a general build not a powerlifting specific build. The AV3100 is plenty for the vast majority of people but maybe I should have found a way to get the AB3000 in there. Thanks for watching.
Brimhall, you take home the win today! Both are no doubt very effective gyms for anyone. Though the rack and barbell are more my training style and what I’d go with. Nothing but love, Jonathan!
Philosophically I prefer the barbell and plates option but this challenge to me is a to create a build for someone who’s getting started and I prefer Jonathan’s basic approach if I were just getting started. I would likely grab the Crandall Fitness Adjustable Bench, then I would build slowly over time to get the BoS barbell, rack and plates.
Nice build. I would have added loadable dumbbell handles and a spud inc type pulley system into this - that would be great to complement the barbell movements. Could save by going with a PR 1100 type rack instead of 3x3
