Depends. If you want a pair to use that are more comfortable to train in sometimes, then yes. I am glad I have both. If you are fine always training with ergo pro, then no. The Ergo Pros give a better bounce out of the hole…..just not as comfortable and more of a pain in the ass getting on and off.
So you ordered true to size? As you mentioned, the calves are the problem - getting the sleeves over that mass to get them up to the knee. I have the same issue. Knee measures only 15" but calves are 16.25-16.5 so looking at ordering the XLs.
I ordered true to size and really struggled getting them on (but I could) for about 2 months. They eventually loosened up just a tad and are now perfect. Getting them off was the hardest part.
