I’m happy with my PowerBlock Commercial pro exp 100 . Absolutely awesome . New versions feel Perfectly balanced but you have to get the Commercial models without the adder weights.
Coop recently did a video on these and he got to experience them first-hand. They look solidly built. I've been keeping an eye on adjustable dumbbells just because it makes More sense to having an adjustable set as a homegym. The only problem with the adjustables until now has been the amount of weight and the reliability of the locking mechanisms. I've really been considering buying these because they go up to a 125 pounds And rep has really stepped up their game in terms of quality and innovation as well.

I have 12 year old 90 pound powerblock and they are durable. I don't know how good the newer version is, but they go as high as 175. The shape does take some getting use to.
Powerblocks are awesome and proven to be extremely durable. NFL and college teams buy sets of Powerblocks for their players. I’ve almost purchased some multiple times.
Great breakdown brother. I have the PBs, IMs, and I ordered the Rep x Pepins. Will I keep all of them, idk yet, but I have high expectations for the Rep x Pepins.
What makes you say they feel like a normal dumbell? I always thought it was the cage that made Powerblocks feel off. I would think the rails on these I would be just as limiting.
It’s a great question. I was able to use the Pepin’s for one workout and they felt super premium and balanced. Nothing like the caged feel of Powerblocks. Additionally, check out Basement Brandon’s review and the GGR review as well on the Pepin’s. They just have that premium normal dumbbell feel.
Interesting. At least online, the rails of the Pepins look closer to their handles than the side components of the Powerblocks look to theirs. The side of the Powerblocks do take up more vertical space though, so I guess that must make more of a difference than I would have imagined.
Great breakdown. I’m also in California so the approximation was nice. However, did your Pepin quote include tax? REP would charge tax and it’s not a minuscule amount either so I thought I’d ask.
I generally only buy made in the US products if available and have a pair of power blocks, but they are just too big. I have currently pre-ordered the Rep-Pepin's and hope the quality is as advertised. I really like the fact that they have a lifetime warranty and drop safe. It should also be mentioned that Reps quality over the years has greatly improved. I will always choose products manufactured in the US, but if that is not a concern to you there's money to be saved with Rep products.
