I would love to get the apex 2 pro on that gobi brown but I’m only 5ft 1 with a small wrist. Do you think this is something I could comfortably pull off or would it be ridiculous?
Here's my quick review. Bought one each for my son and I a few weeks ago. Already worn in some tasty weather. We both MTB, climb, and I photo. 1. It's a no-frills GTX jacket - it'll keep the weather out. Hood fits over even a MTB helmet. All good there. 2. No hip pockets is a massive plus for use with a backpack harness and general comfort. BUT 3. The pit zips are very short, so I can't undo the lower half of the zip and put my hands in the pockets of my insulating jacket. 4. There's no hip drawcord or a double zip pull! Seriously, WTF. The whole industry is going this way and I don't understand why. If you can't immediately see why this is a problem, it probably won't be an issue. They're nicely made though. #3 #4 would have been dealbreakers for me, but I couldn't try one on within days travel of where I live, thought it would just be standard. I'd also expect an offset zip at the chin at this price. But overall I'm happy - got a couple of generally capable jackets until their replacements arrive. Value for money is non-existent though, I'd be returning them if I'd paid anything close to retail. And if you want a jacket for photos, or just standing around in bad weather at a game, get something with pit zips that let you reach your insulating layer pockets.
Nice to hear someone talk at a normal speed, unlike most American RU-vidrs. However the backing music is far too loud and distracting and the video appears to be more about you than the watch!
Not self inflating, still great. To solve the compression bag issue it's a good idea to buy a dry bag from Sea to Summit. I'm going to buy one that can hold my mattress and pillow this way I keep things together nice and dry. Getting Big River 35L dry bags for sleeping bag and all the stuff I need to carry on my motorcycle. Best low cost luggage out there 👍 And yes, the music is pretty loud 😂
Too big and quite heavy for backpacking! I had a friend who used one of those, and he never brought it in his backpack! 😂 He leaves it inside his car and just comes back for it since he can't really fit his tent and sleeping bag inside his backpack with this huge sleeping pad in it! We mostly use the Therm-a-Rest XTherm Sleeping Pad because it only weighs 1 pound and is also warm with a high R-value. This Therm-A-Rest MondoKing 3D sleeping pad, however, weighs a whopping 5 lbs. 8 oz!! My goodness! Yeah, I am sticking with my Therm-a-Rest XTherm Sleeping Pad for long-distance backpacking rather than bringing this heavy behemoth!
I purchased the Nakie hammock, bug net, tarp, and blanket. I love it! My son, who is a Hennessey guy, also loves my Nakie. We are both involved with Scouts Canada, and I have spread the word to Scouters looking to start hammock camping. It hits all the boxes, reuse, recycle, and they plant 4 trees for every item purchased. Great job, Nakie 👏
what will be best for an amateur runner who wants to improve his physical condition and lose weight, try to run slowly but with time making more and more kilometers ? Arahi 6 or Rincon 3??
I'm on my 2nd pair of Bondi 8s and if you're someone who thought you could never run again due to age or you're worried about your knees, let's just say I have zero pain when I wear them and can run for miles and miles. I'm not a big time runner (usually doing 4.3 miles 3 days a week), but I've done 10 miles in them and my hips and knees (the two areas I'm most concerned about) were 100% fine. I might tried the Clifton 8s just to see if they give me anything different, but I'm very happy with my Bondi 8s.
I was looking for something to calm my Metartarsalgia pain and Capsulitis. My Podiatrist said, even if I have a Morton’s Neuroma, the therapies are all similar. I got instant comfort and relief when I walked in the shoe store with these. I may have all three. No stress fracture, however. I am icing my foot also, now down to once a day. When the pain was at its worst, I had x-rays done, I was thinking with such pain and swelling, it had to be a stress fracture. I showed my doctor the x-rays and diagnosed that I have capsulitis of the second metatarsal bone. But he said that the pain and swelling between the 2nd and 3rd metatarsals does sound like Morton’s Neuroma, but that I have the right shoe and he gave me one exercise he wants me to do, will treat both conditions. I chose the shoe the day before I saw him and was impressed that I got the shoe he recommends to his patients who have my injuries. I was hesitant to order the shoes off of Amazon, and delighted there is a shoe store in my city which had it in my size I could try on. They had several Hokas to chose from actually and I have a wide foot, though the rest of me isn’t wide. I wear a size 4 in ladies jeans! I am at goal weight. So happy to also find a doctor who understands vegans as he is one himself. Instant report. He approved of my supplements, the icing and foot soaks and the ibuprofen and I have a pill I take when my arthritis acts up. But it took a MONTH to get in to see the podiatrist after the x-rays were made. I brought these 3 views on my iPad. He was so pleased that he looked at my x-rays and said, that I have capsulitis! The pain was greatly reduced just from stepping up eating more leafy greens and supplements. I see him in 8 weeks. But I am back to getting my steps in with walking and that feels great!
Is the breadcrumb navigation a little better than the Apex 2 Pro better than the Coros Pace 2. Which I have and don’t like? Sorry to bother you on this but I just thought you’d know.
Just got a pair of Bondi 8. They are very comfortable and very great. Had ankle surgery last year and the doctor recommended me to get a pair. I’d get another pair in a heartbeat!!!
