Love this build so much! Hate to see it go, but excited for what’s to come. So happy I stumbled across your channel. I started a build awhile back and your channel got inspired to get back into the truck camping lifestyle!!
@@ConnorLee thanks for replying. My Tacoma is all stock and sits in the garage in case I need to haul something. My daily driver is 08 FJ Cruiser. I know...i'm spoiled
Beautiful! I am curious how you keep the camper area secure though? I don’t see a key hole to lock the tailgate and I assume the topper can only really lock from the inside?
Still my favorite Taco on RU-vid, period. I haven't seen anyone with a good build on a 2nd gen 4.0 extended cab. The 4 door's with 5' beds are useless. I can't wait to see what the future build looks like. You still need to bring that one over a couple of counties and hit up the Chilhowee/Ocoee areas. You have plenty of time before November gets here.
Love the videos and also the build. Currently building a 2004 toyota tacoma trd 4x4 extra cab. The truck was a neglected farm truck but I am loving ever bit of the restoration.
5w30, usually mobile1 synthetic. 211,000. The lucas helps stabilize the oil and lubricate the motor better. Nothing to back that up than another Toyota junkie who praised the stuff!
Just got a 89 Prelude SI two weeks ago. Had A 90 SI back in 09 and regret letting it go. I told myself if I ever find one again I'd do everything to keep the car. Your love for the lude has inspired me a lot these last few weeks. Thank you for having the love and commitment to make your videos. Keep it up brother I know you'll do great things! Can't wait to see more content even if it's not prelude related
I just unscrewed the hook/clamp off the spring compressor inserted it into the best spot on the spring and screwed the compressor back together and it compressed fine
Connor…I know this is an old video…just discovered your channel…but which engine and transmission did this 1st Gen Tacoma have?? Thanks. Really great job.
STOP LOWERING THESE CARS LIKE HONDAS, I don't like the 3 series sedan that much, but they just get so chubby looking when lowered, you'll also damage the rear alignment.
Just put JBA's, 881 coils, 5100's, upper and lower ball joints front... rear got Old Man Emu leaf springs, grease-able shackles, 5100's. Have a 2002 Tacoma bought new, love my Tacoma and now it rides and corners like a sports car compared to the old suspension. My JBA's are red of course, my 881 springs bright lime green!... flat black spray paint addressed this. Really loved this video!... you hung in there! "Covered in sweat and grease". 110% genuine, real deal video of the journey and many lessons learned that we can all benefit from... educational, informative, entertaining and fun! Well done!
Dude, that hat! Awesome! I actually like the look of your truck setup. It gives me more of a retro vibe than old man. But I get what you’re saying. And, first I’ve seen your girlfriend; she’s a cutie. Looking forward to your new setup.
Very entertaining and informative video! Celebrates the many positive points of dry camping and getting off the beaten track. Also provides valuable perspective on choosing gear that contributes to a successful camping experience 😃
