I don’t know if we can really be sure about that yet. Yeah, she’s definitely better than Bondrewd, but she’s worse than Riko, and we don’t know enough about the others to make a determination. Srajo seems cool, but she’s probably either going to be revealed as secretly evil, or have something horrible happen to her, because that’s what happens in this franchise. We’ve only seen Lyza in brief flashbacks, and Wakuna’s been completely MIA since day one.
Asklaad had adopted 2 sons, of which he personally killed both their actual dads XD He gave one of them a crown, a country to rule and a country to protect by leaving it the fuck alone. And to the other...he reminded him of the teachings of his actual dad. In a way, he gave Thorfinn his soul back after he threw it away in the name of vengeance. He was kind of a badass XD
What I find sad is that even after he's made peace with Askeladd's dead and moving on Thorfinn never realizes all the times that Askellad tried to save him from the blood path.
Askeladd is actually a horrible person despise his relationship with throfinn. This dude ordered to kill an entire village that also had babies with them
Askladd ended up being the the last connection for Thorfinn to his father Thors, the last man who knew his father and stood next to his father. When Askladd died, so did finally Thor's father, which is why it hit THorfinn so hard, Askladd's last words, that Thorfinn's goal wasn't revenge, but, to escape to the place his father dreamt of. To get there, tho, Askladd knew Thorfinn had to survive. Of all the people Askladd knew, I truly believed he respected only Thors, as a warrior, as a man, as honor, all of which Askladd dreamt but never realized. Killing Thors was punishment to Askladd for not achieving his dream. Raising Thorfinn was his redemption. Askladd believed, to me, that he knew Thorfinn would reach his goal of something better when he laid there dying, but, because of him, because of what Askladd did, Thorfinn would indeed reach it. To see a son exceed the father would be any father's hope, and, maybe from Valhalla, Thors could see his dream realized for Thorfinn as well, all this because of Askladd. All good stuff, which is why this Anime is so revered. I wish Disney would watch this stuff and re-learn what makes great characters, great dialogue and memorable stories.
