Mastrius is disrupting the art education industry by making master expertise, training, and mentorship available for growing artists, affordably and from the comfort of their studio.
Much of the modern creatives training industry says: simply watch this video and you’ll find success. This flawed learning model prioritizes the video maker’s profitability above the artist’s growth. The truth is: most true experts credit their skills mastery to the personal advice and feedback they received from experts.
I have taken a couple of classes at R&F with Giuliani and she is such a wealth of information….. I also did a private 4 day in her studio. Leslie is a great listener and guide.
Thank you for this video. Barbara confirmed my instincts; I walked away from a teacher who praised student work that looked like hers, and openly criticized in a group of students those that were unlike hers. I expected to learn processes and techniques, not how to be a clone.
Our individual style as artists is the most important thing that we bring to the world. Art is the voice artists use to tell their personal story. I love to see artists at any level challenge themselves to experiment and step outside their comfort zone to learn and grow!
I am catching this interview many months later. Loved the interview, and of course Joe's artistic quilts. I wondered though how Joe finishes the quilts for display - does he still use wadding? Quilting patterns? Frames for mounting the quilts?
No, I don't. As I'm painting in the "Ansel Adams" phase as I call it, I'm thinking about what color family I'm going to use. Then I attack it with my knives and the colors I mix up on my palette. Hope this helps.
Thank you for sharing your faith in the Lord! That really blessed me as I didn't know. I think the Lord gave you and Mike a great vision and I'm happy and blessed to be a part of it!
That was a great and very educational session! Lori, your group is going to love working with you! You are supportive and knowledgeable, and your critique is right on. Your words are inspiring and encouraging. Great presentation!!!!❤
I can’t get it now but the best surface was sandpaper you used to get on a roll, very fine, and there was a place tbat used to heat glue it flat on hardboard. No better surface
