Definitely do it, if you are down that way i would recommend the one at Imst (I have a video of that too) it's slightly closer to Switzerland and a better ride, it's smoother. Both are great and well worth doing. Why not do both if you had the time they are about 1 hour apart. I didn't really hurt that much, if you don't use the brakes there is a sudden sharp turn near the top which is quite forceful but the rest is ok really.
When you get to the first weir, you can portage out on the left hand side. The footpath runs along the bank and crosses that bridge just past the weir. Then the footpath runs along the bank all the way up to the next bridge, crosses over and up to the weir.
@@AndysAdventures89 We're local, been in the pub once, wouldn't return. Landlord runs his own boats so draw your own conclusions as to attitude to kayakers. The river beyond the weir is glorious, though with a large two man inflatable we've never even reached the weir.

Was it really no brakes? They built it so effectively that it doesn't accelerate you to super-speeds without brakes? Tried one in Dolni Morava and was such a terrible experience, 1 h of waiting in line under the scorching sun with zero cover in sight only for them to let some 100 yo granny in front of us who literally never released brakes at all, going at like 2 kmh max, creating a huge traffic jam behind. And before I got to that, the sections were so steep that I felt like I will fly off the turn if I won't use any brakes - it was accelerating to at least 50 kmh at times. Decided that the bike park provides far better and controllable experience, although more dangerous. You seem to be extremely lucky to catch up with another person only at the end of the track 😬
