The Everyday Angler RU-vid Channel is aimed at viewers who are interested by the sport of fishing. From veteran anglers to beginners in the sport the Everyday Anglers mission is to provide educational and entertaining videos highlighting the ups and downs of the life as an avid fisherman. To inspire beginners to pick up the sport head on and to encourage already active anglers to JUST KEEP FISHING!! In a world of constant screen time, and a breathe of fresh being a rare occurrence, my channel is dedicated to opening the mind of children and adults to a sport that will get them OUTSIDE!, and to explore places otherwise unnoticed. So whenever you get done watching my videos i hope you get HOOKED on the beautiful sport of FISHING! Thank you everyone for watching, I love feedback so feel free to comment!
You are right, all of the Bonafides except the ex123 are more stable than the Crescents and that makes all the difference when standing to fish and if you are fishing standing makes all the difference. Standing makes it easier to see structure and the fish, also easier to cast and skip lures up under limbs.
My stripers in Maine have all been schoolies. I hooked 3 and landed one on the South Holston ( Tennessee ) as it enters Boone. They were 20 pounders like the one caught on the video
I use walmarts Charlies blood dough bait and the shad in a bag. I smash up the shad and mix it up with the charlies. No big deal. i was just experimenting and caught my limit on channels. Good luck. Bless.
I have been using that magic bait over 15 years. Crayfish with chicken blood. I love how it attracts the big ones. . California, Arizona and Nevada the catfish are crazy about it. But all baits do not work in all waters. Ron In Los Angeles
You got started about 50-75 years too late. There is "nothing new under the sun". Every "new" fly out there is just a copy of someone else's fly tied years ago. Just because you throw in a sili leg here and there, or use some synthetic instead of natural for a wing or a head doesn't make you an innovator. Even the guys who are considered the modern-day innovators, ie. Galloup, Craven, Brammer, McKnight, Madden, etc. are also just emulating the guys who came before. Every now and then, they actually give credit where credit is due when they realize they have copied a copy of a copy of a copy......... etc. When does a guy have the right to name a fly and call it his own? I guess, legally, any damn time he wants to. But us old geezers know the truth and we know who the pretenders are. Dan Gapen, Carrie Stephens, Chuck Kraft, Joe Brooks, Dave Whitlock, and countless others, they know too.
watch my other fly tying videos i agree with you %100. In most of my videos i say that i literally only even "name" a fly for the purpose of RU-vid. Most are all just renditions of a another fly that was invented long ago with a new twist.A more modern example. Today I watched a whole "glide bait musky fly" fly video on RU-vid, it was just a big version of Blanes jerk changer tied with bucktail. But could probably be claimed or sold as a different fly. Not everyone in fly fishing is as "nerdy" as fly tiers. I'm honestly just happy for anyone that can make money as fly tyer, good for them.
Hey there! Enjoyed your video…thanks! My name is Sid. I just bought a raft. I have 3 kids, ages 8, 6 and 5. We plan on fishing a lot! I don’t recognize the stream? Would you share the location please? Thanks again !
I got the Avengers rod awhile back to be funny and to keep in my car just in case. I totally forgot about it. I'm definitely going to try it out now. Thanks for the video.
Fantastic! I just started a fly tying class a few weeks ago. It's all little trout flies. Great for learning the fundamental methods and skills. But this is the kind of fly I'm more interested in. Something for those creek smallmouth. Thanks!
I just stumbled across your video. Smith creek is a mess doto the stocking trucks only dumping fish right where the gaggle of locals where you referred to. Lower smith the DH section is similar. But there is a lot of water up there that has fish.
Good job. Fishing for working white bass is a blast. I Carry two rods one with a poppers and one with a sinking line. Sometimes you can't keep them off a popper.
I use the stink bait and have amazing success with it. Use a spring hook to get your bait to hold better. I catch 4 or 5 in just a couple hours with that stink bait.
Ive never had luck with the dough. I was hopeful because I could keep in wrapped in my vehicle all year long and Id be ready when ever the spirit moved me. But if I have bait that doesnt bait, then I have a heavy hook and an empty frying pan. 😂 Ill just stick with what works.
