That was Albie Pearson of the Angels that escorted Marilyn to the field to sing the national anthem. I have heard Albie's recollection of that day. very interesting story. She was a very insecure person out of the public's attention but as soon as she was in front of a crowd she had a totally different persona... Albie, The shortest player in baseball, at 5' 5", he started with the Washington Senators in '58 and finished his career with the Angels in "66. He became an evangelist after his baseball career and touched many lives planting a number of churches in eastern California and Northern Nevada.
