You did a FANTASTIC job. There are so many videos spreading false rumors, lies, fake quotes about Marilyn in YT. Thanks to you, I hope people will know the real person, the real Marilyn Monroe. Thanks from the bottom of my heart to tell the truth about Marilyn. THUMBS UP :)))
+marcello6878x This means a whole lot to me! Thank you. This is what i hope to do. I want people to see who Marilyn was and not who she is painted to be by gossip magazines and people who want to make money.
Concerning having photos in her closet. Arthur Miller wrote this in the script of THe MISFITS. Marilyn opens a closet door with photos pasted on it and then quickly shuts the door of the closet. Anyone remembers that scene?
Yes, an early glam photo with over-the-shoulder glance/smile, with white fur...one of her famous photos....I loved "The Misfits", even though some may not...It was a great dramatic performance, especially when she runs out into the desert near the end and screams hysterically....very emotional too. I always well up with tears during that scene.
+Taylor Thank you Taylor. Sadly it is true that people will believe what they see and what the read. This is what has destroyed Marilyn legacy and it's us fan's duty to help get Marilyn back into a positive light.
Lena was a neighbor of mine on E. 76th street in the 80's 90's. She definitely had a "cottage industry," on her MM stories. She was constantly judging look a like contests, appearing on Sally Jesse Raphael and other NY cable shows. She claimed that she sewed MM in to her Happy Birthday Mr. President dress.
Good video. She definitely doesn't appear to have known Marylin. The first red flag as to what kind of person Lena Pepitone was is that she would try to cash in on Marylin's name after her death. The second red flag is that there is no proof to her claims.
How sad! I read her book and will have re-re-read it because I don't remember her calling M.M. an alcoholic, and such disgusting hygiene habit, only that she did not bath as often as she should, but when we are down, sad and depressed as M.M.at that time, going without a shower/bath for a few days that may happen. I have been there and am dealing with it now yet it does not make my home unbearable and M.M. was always known to be "In a cloud of Channel No 5" so I believe that her how apartment's scent! None of that is in that book! I remember one story La Pepitone wrote about, private matter I will write about, but I found it sweet, but painful! Okay it is about being Blond all over. This so disturbing! I recently bought a replacement copy and will need to read it again only to see how much of these private matters are written and how(if at all!) Shame on La Pepitone! You claim to be her friend and tell such lies and personal details? I am so "scattered" I am blbbering, I apologize! With write more after reading this piece of nasty fiction, Shame on you miss messy maid!!!
Well done, exceptional video! You proved things to be untrue and based it on supported facts, facts that I never knew about. Add Lena to the list of others (Robert Slatzer and Jeannie Carmen chief among them) who claimed to have a close relationship with Marilyn, whereas there was not one single evidence of proof that they did so. These are the people to be angry with, because they convolute the true story of Marilyn, and mar it with fictional stories that people believe as true, and push us further and further away from the truth about her life and her passing. I truly thank you for this video.
About the dog: in the book "Marilyn Among Friends" by Sam Shaw and Norman Rosten who knew Marilyn well, photos of Marilyn with that same dog appears on 4 pages and it is called Hugo. So in this case at least, I believe the quote you provided about Hugo being a German Shepherd is either wrong or there were 2 dogs named Hugo.
Lena wrote in that book that Marilyn gave her extra cash $ for her if i remember correctly 400 or 500 $. Lot of cash in those days. in an envelope. Maids and house help were usually paid in cash. Eunice not only was a hosekeeper but had also worked as a nurse.
Eunice DID NOT work for MM as a nurse. This is a perfect example of fake news. She did not have a nurses license. She was strictly there as a spy for Dr. Greenson, who persuaded MM to hire her. Incidentally, Mrs. Murray's last day of employment was the day that MM died. MM had fired her (she never truly trusted her), and there were many times when MM went to the refrigerator in her kitchen for a meal or a snack and found it empty). She had even given Mrs. Murray a two week severance pay check. I think it was dated August 4 1962. but am not positive about this.
That book was disgusting and haed to read and if any of ot was true which I doubt then what a horrendous number of betrayals by someone ckaiming to be M's friend. It was one insult after another until I could hardly read it without grrrr growling. Poor Marilyn
I do believe every word that Lena said. I think this is the best biography. She tell us the real truth and not that stupid leyend made up in Hollywood. I think nobody likes to know the truth of their movie stars. They believe that the people who appear on the screen have lives of luxury as they are shown. Wake up people. Lena's book contains a lot of data that made me say: she is the person who was encouraged to say things as they are. BRAVO FOR YOU FRIEND!
More muckraking. Throw everyone in Marilyn's life under the bus. Pepitones book was published in 1979, Robert Slatzer's 1974. There were plenty of people still alive in those days, in fact most of them. Including Joe DiMaggio and Arthur Miller. If all if this had been lies, how come no one stepped forward. The only lies here are the ones people like this spew, one who never knew Monroe, probably weren't even born when she died. Shameful.
