I had not seen many of these photographs before. Absolutely beautiful! She was luminescent...gorgeous.... I don't have enough adjectives! There was one particular photograph where she looks like a sculpture someone did of their idea of the most beautiful woman ever. I have a large framed portrait (36" by 24") of her in the white fur coat hanging up in my living room (along with other beautiful paintings, but everyone gravitates to Marilyn's portrait), They all marvel at how stunningly beautiful she was. And Milton Greene was definitely one of the best photographers EVER. He knew his craft like no one else.
Verbal Volley - The reason most of them are unfamiliar is because Josh Greene had to restore them from faded negatives after his father’s death. Digital photo processing made it possible.
Ive known of Marilyn since my teens but only in the last 3 months ive really really REALLY have gotten into her ....I'm just now starting to get into her,( i turned 51 in JULY)..... i had thought of her in the world view as ONLY a sex symbol but seeing her thru a grown ups eyes ... she was a very very very talented person and had MORE brains than most had thought. I wish she had lived ,she'd be like the stars we STILL currently have left around, i have so many more questions that i have yet to hear people talk about . R.I.P BEAUTIFUL.
Every time I see Marilyn with Miller I want to throw up...he always painted her as a poor tragic being but he is the one who failed Marilyn miserably and couldn’t truly love the most amazing woman on the planet!
