there's no such thing as "world music" it was there before but nowadays, not so much anymore, just remove the disclaimer what's the point of having it anymore?
For me it was just the random choice to include small shots of declarations in the background, when without any sound or graphics we had absolutely no idea what was going on. Ie pointless. The choice of making the main screen smaller I thought was pretty strange as well and at times there was further insignificant stuff in the surrounding parts. Where was the statistical sequence of votes, vote percentages, the change, the swing, the same pattern we are all used to. Also no pictures of the incoming MP, instead the leader of the party? They changed all of this! Why? Who knows. They changed a lot this time around and it didn’t work. Poorest the BBC have done in a long time, even beating 2019’s pretty bad performance. I get it’s not going to be the same without Dimbleby, but nobody has really come to the front that makes you think, this is the face of Politics on the BBC. It’s just some newsreaders and political editors that don’t have the pull that Dimbleby had. Really things started to go wrong when Snow retired after 2005, but 2010-2017 still had something going for them.
@@itjustmeLam It’s ok. I like the revamped Arthur, but it’s no match for 1992 or 1997 which are still the best two. The purple graphics I didn’t get, but I’m sure that was typical of the new BBC identity of having colour association with divisions. The floating pyramid thing I again didn’t get. I’m not saying it was bad, I just didn’t understand what the purpose of those particular things was. Arguably one of the best things they did though was the continual Arthur from the intro all the way to the Exit Poll. That was very clever.
This is absolutely beautiful! Honestly loved every bit about the titles! If you listen closely, the music was altered... it's much better. You can hear that the music it repeats at 0:11. And you can hear more of the orchestra at 0:19. It's sooo much better!!! There is also a new election bed they use.
Yeah...I think this year election's presentation is better. The fact that they used a specially made on-screen aston graphics for this election makes it pretty unique too (and not just the normal aston modified - like with the 2019 Election and older). That opening titles with the triangle and scenes just totally blessed my eyes and ears...
Ohhh...that is BETTER than I thought it will be! Intitally I thought that the Election Debate titles weeks ago would be the opening titles for the Election Night (and honestly I had low expectations for its design since the Chameleon titles)... and then this aired! Dare someone to recreate this!
Check out my previous trip report special countdowns, such as my recent trips in the Netherlands, China, Albania ru-vid.com/group/PLYDCAc-sQFvldaPfeSksivp3Gy_o9AnDG&si=yI7QZ0zOEIj-5c8G
Agreed. The music desperately needs changing. I wonder why they can't when they can just use the 2024 Countdown that was LITERALLY used as a breakfiller back in March. Why, BBC News?
@@jordanhunt4867not to mention the Jane hill footage from 2012! They had the 2018 and didn’t give a shit about it. New footage at least needed for more. Music and format… idk, given how badly the BBC execute creative things now, I’d rather they stick with a classic from a previous golden era.
I believe the first new updated countdown to be shown was the filler, at 10pm. The 4am countdown is the first I’ve managed to record (YET AGAIN I’m abroad when an update happens)
3:07 What is this saying, and the audio of London's local news was interrupted on the way. (This is a sentence translated from Japanese to American English.)
Uploaded to Bilibili at the same time x Also mandarin hence simplified Chinese is used by far more people (especially on Bilibili) and also is the language I know so of course I subtitle this with it
If they ever shift An Là to a bigger studio (e.g. the same studio as Reporting Scotland), I hope that they can use a shorter opening sequence. In this case, the titles form up at 0:04 to coincide with the double thunderclaps. Then, a trundle cam shot will be shown. (This is in line with what is seen on BBC News Channel)
